I hate myself!

At the start of my band journey I would read a post like this and shake my head and say, "How can a person waste such a wonderful opportunity! However they should not feel bad."

NOW after being banded for 8 months I have come to my senses! Perfection is not an option for most of us. I know that most of us go into this with the full intention of eating the "RIGHT" foods "ALL THE TIME". To be honest I sometimes eat food that isn't always on the list of things I should be eating, but I am happier this way. I never feel like I am missing out. I always do my absolute best to eat foods that keep me healthy and on the right track, but sometimes the best thing to do is eat a small piece of cake.:wink2: If you feel you must always be perfect you will always feel like a failure. (I know I have been there.) Remember to have fun during this journey, as long as you don't over do it you will lose the weight.

As for the exercising: I can not stress the importance that exercising plays in your well-being. Forget about doing just to lose weight- exercise just gives you a great feeling. As you lose weight the exercising will become easier and easier for you. Take advantage of your new found energy. BTW- exercising takes less energy than hating yourself! :lol:

Honey <<hugs>> it's ok, we all indulge every once in a while. I think the trick is to of course make it a once in a while thing and release yourself from the guilt of having something that you normally wouldn't. That is one thing I have noticed about my averaged sized friends I never hear them say "I shouldn't have eaten that" I think it's because they realize that one little thing isn't going to ruin them.

With that said do you need a fill ? I know that things which normally wouldn't tempt me when I have proper restriction do when it is time for an adjustment.

You are doing so well 3 months out and almost half way to goal.

You can do it !!!

I'm glad u r feeling better... One thursday at work I wanted to eat one of the biggest hershey chocolate bars w/almonds 1/2 lb.. open a bottle of diet pepsi, and buy some cigg's. and put like 4-of them in my mouth and light and smoke away all at one time and i don't even smoke...lol.... Things can be so stressful and the first thing I and so use to doing is running to food because it use to make me feel better... Now I just face the issues head on, and that is so hard to do.... But this too shall pass....

      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
