You know you are a bandster when....

When you spend all morning staring at your Breakfast thinking, "in a few hours, I might be able to eat that."<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

When you go to visit family or friends and the host takes you shopping for the food just to, "make sure we pick something you can eat."<o:p></o:p>

When you shop for clothes that are just a bit too small so that they will last more than 2 months<o:p></o:p>

I'm hoping to be banded next month. PLEASE let someone tell me my butt is getting smaller. I won't think it's rude! ;-)

Luv the Soup one...happens to me all the time!

When friends and family know you have the band, but still ask.."is that all you're going to eat?" kills me every time!

I am a newbie and just started the process to be banded. For the last hour and half I laughed and cried knowing that 1) there are people out there just like me. 2) That some people can do this with laughter while struggling to keep sane.

Thank you all!!!

Laugh and the world laughs with you; smile and the world wonders what you are up to! Keep SMILING!!!!

You know when.....It takes you 30 mins to eat a 4oz cup of cottage cheese - while you husband has polished off 3 eggs, 4 bacon strips, 2 pcs of toast, orange juice and coffee!! Yeah....and he's the trim one.......How does that work exactly???!!!! 8-)

when someone makes a rude comment about fat people and before you can take offence to it, you say "fat people have feelings, too!"

...when 9 lbs in 6 weeks embarasses you, but your doctor is so excited he calls his nurses into the room to share the good news

When you prepare a meal that you really, really wanted to eat and after one bite it gets stuck and you can't eat any more. Damn!!!:):)

When your grandchildren tell you how pretty you are.

When a Tic-Tac fills you up.

When you have to remind yourself you HAVE to eat instead of always wanting to eat.

You have now become a model because you are always posing for pictures

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
