I'm hoping that I'll get my final approval from insurance this week and then hopefully a July surgery date! I've been jumping through all the hoops too and I'm getting weary.

Well, I got my approval earlier this week and a surgery date. NEXT TUESDAY! I'm a June bandster now! Best wishes all! :wink2:

Hi Ya'll! I am praying every day I will be a 'July Butterfly' . I was thinking about it months ago, and I thought July Jewels was sooo pretty, like a dusty jewel that sparkles once you wipe it clean aka banding :smile2:. LOL So I did a search for July Jewels and saw that people had at least thought of it too! I see you didn't pick it, but that's OK, I hope I can join you all, and look forward to meeting you. We will see if I'm an official July Butterfly if I get approved for my loan, waiting to hear any day now.

Hi,

I'm a Lucky #7 from July 07. I just drifted over here out of curiosity. A few July 08 folks have wandered over to the July 07 thread, which is fine, but I was going to try to direct them over to a July 08 thread. But you have so many it's kind of confusing. Just a suggestion, but if you could find a way to get people to gravitate over to just one, you'd be able to communicate with one another more effectively. Maybe, when you decide what you're going to call yourselves, start a new thread and title it something like "July 08 Butterflies Main Thread".

Best of luck to ALL OF YOU!! You're on your way to a healthier you!! You won't be sorry!

Best thing I ever did!!

Hi all, I was away for a while so never responded but I'm glad you like the banner--I noticed the font was really light (and kind of small) so I played around with it a bit more--maybe this is better....

If you think that the girl's foot in the "S" is too distracting I can try to move her (it is a bit involved though)....let me know. Also, I'm going to start a thread about it just to make sure folks see it

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
