Suggestions Please On Best Tasting Protein Shakes

Recommended Posts

My dr suggested the Unjury. It all seems so confusing...I guess the Unjury has the best Protein from what I've read. I guess if I dont like it, I'll put it next to every other protein-weight-loss-low-carb blah blah blah in my pantry & try something else. My surgery date is July 15th & I am SO READY! Good luck with yours!

I AM SO PICKY ABOUT THESE THINGS. i AM NOT A MILK DRINKER AT ALL. The only way I can drink it is with lots of choc. or straw. Syrup or in a milkshake. There is no way that I can drink anything that tastes anything like MILK alone. I am the kind of person that if I can't have the real thing and what I want I would just as soon not have it. I guess that's why I am the weight I am hu?

I just placed my order for the Unjury product and you can order samples of the products instead of the whole shabang...which I would rather pay $4 for shipping on 3 sample packs to find out I didn't like it rather then paying $20 for something I don't like or want...so you should try it out this way and try the samples rather then the whole container. The sample packets run $1.75 per sample and my total for ordering 3 samples and the shipping was $8.70 for everything. Again I would rather have a few samples then a whole lot of stuff I don't want. Just FYI incase anyone else is also thinking about trying this stuff.

I really like the taste of Metobolic RESET Protein powder (made by natures way). I mix it in a magic bullet with skim milk.

It's the lowest carb, lowest calorie good tasting shake I could find.

Give the EAS a try. You can get a 4 pack at Walmart for $4.97. They have strawberry n cream, chocolate fudge, and french vanilla. They are all 2-3 carbs and around 17g protien.

carnation instant Breakfast mixed with a "magic bullet" realitively inexpensive, and very tasty.

Joyce

I totally agree! carnation instant Breakfast is my fav! I usualy get the ones that come in the bottle (not powder) and i mix the chocolate with ice and half a banana, sooooo good!!! or mixed with frozen cherries, thats good too.

I've been using the nutribar replacement vanilla powder and in incorporating it into meals. So for example I take my morning coffee/w milk put it in the blender with the Protein Powder and some ice and make a slushie out of it. Then for lunch I take some Water, frozen fruit berries and the Protein powder and blend it up. For dinner I usually have a piece of meat w/veggies or salad. Can anyone tell me if what I'm mixing the protein powder with is good for me????

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
