  2. Awesome threat!!! I won't ever miss; Pulling at my tops so they "fit". Going from store to store to find clothes that not only fit but are comfortable. Looking around the room to see if I am the heaviest. Being self conscious during sex...even though husband tells me not to worry. Being uncomfortable while we travel; ie planes, train, bus I'm ready to drop all this baggage!!!
  3. Ugh, Mary I'm so sorry for all this run around your getting. What doctors don't understand is this is a HUGE setback in our journey to SAVE ourselves. Such a blow could make someone just give up. I'm glad your strong and carrying on. You go get 'em girl!!! Deb
  4. I am so glad I found this thread. I thought I was alone. :sad:I have been so angry with myself because I must now have surgery. I am unable to lose weight and successfully keep it off by myself. How depressing. Since I have started the journey of obtaining a lap-band I have not exercised and have eaten everything with no disreguard for my health. I think I'm downright angry with myself. Deb
  5. I can't answer your question about the bloating; I'm pre-band. But I'd like to congratulate you on your weight loss! Deb
  6. Wow thank you so much for your post. I loved reading it!!! Keep us posted on your progress. I am a newbie also and really like to hear everyones story. Keep us posted. Deb
  7. Good luck!!! Friday the 13th is my first informational meeting. Look, here I am starting out on my lapband journey and you are getting your band on that day. AWESOME Keep us posted. Deb
  8. Hi everyone, I am curious to know what everyone thought of their psychological evaluation. I am pre-banded and am not sure if I will have to have one; my insurance (Aetna) doesn't require it, but I just want to be prepared should the bariatric clinic ask me to go through it. What kind of questions do they ask? What advice would you give someone going into this type of evaulation? Thank you! Deb
  9. Thats terrific news!!! GOOD LUCK  Keep us posted. I am pre-band and really love to read about new banders and their journey.
  10. Kiki- Thats terrific! What a relief that must make you feel. Good luck with your surgery and please keep us posted. Deb

Wow, powerful blog you wrote. I, like yourself, suffer from the same issues and have relied upon the same modes of healing; medication. I've often wondered once I start losing the weight (I'm pre-band) what will come... At some point we have to face our worst nightmare and come to terms with what is left behind.

That was great blog! And by the sounds of it a pretty good day... except for the bloating. GOOD LUCK
  14. I'm very guarded about my weigh issues...struggles This being said I have only shared my journey with a small handful of trusted people. I have had enough negative bs in my life that I just don't need anymore. Furthermore, I don't want the stress of people looking at me and expecting something. You have to do this for yourself. Keep your head high and know you are making one of the best decisions of your life.
  15. Too shy to ask this question myself... I'm so glad you brought this up. I'm eager to see more replies as I am pre-banded and had wondered about being sexually active and how long one should wait.

OMG I love your blogs! I completely understand the husband & dog snoring thing. We have two weimeraners and shesh... they snore wicked. Isn't it alarming when your child reaches adulthood? Here we couldnt wait for it and now it's here... are scared for them. ~Deb
