First Fill

My surgery date was 3-14-08 starting weight was 354. I am currently down to 324 (Praise The Lord). Had my first fill today and am back on liquids for three days, then soft food for three days, and then back to regular food. I was wondering if anyone else fills bloated at times with the lap band. I hear my stomach making noises and wondered if this was common with lap band patients...

I can't answer your question about the bloating; I'm pre-band. But I'd like to congratulate you on your weight loss!

Deb

Yes I was banded on the 19th of May and I too feel bloated and my stomach sings to me a lot ..

How was the first fill ?? My first one is the 2nd of July ..

Congratulations on your weight lose so far . Awesome..

I was banded on May 23rd and I have been doing alot of cardio and lost 19 lbs so far. I am getting more and more hungry and am looking into getting my 1st fill earlier than my June 29th appt. But as for the noise and stomach rumbling I also have it ALOT...I am not sure what its caused by but It causes me no disomfort and I dont feel or look bloated. I exercise alot so this may help my bloating I think. I do drink way more water than they reccomend too.

Great job on the weight loss.....

My first fill wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. So far I have had no problems at all since surgery. I just wish I could have had surgery before. I feel better and the weight loss is helping take pressure off of my back. I hope you do well and good luck to you on your journey.

How are you doing since your fill? Have you noticed a difference? My first fill is July 7th (6wk and 5 days post-op).

excercise, excercise, excercise, that will get the bloat out at least 30 minuites a day. everytime im bloated my doc says to walk, eleptical or some other low inpact cardio and it will go all away
