  1. Does anyone know of a Lapband Dr in Sterling Heights Michigan. I would like to know because I will be back in MIchigan from July 1, 2008 until August 4, 3008. I would be just in case I needed to see.
  2. I have been married for 17 years. I did not think my husband was not sympathetic either. Then I thought back my husband wears his feelings mostly inside. He will say something like I know everything will be alright don't worry. When I went for my surgery he paced like when I had my daughter. Don't sell him short he may be worried inside about you and just not letting you see it.
  3. hI everyone, I lost weight to 197 then I gained weight back to 203. I feel so bad about gaiining back the weight has this happened to anyone. I love this group.
  4. Hi everyone, I have gastrophoresis. It comes from having out of control blood sugars. Does anyone out there have the same thing. I only feel good when I eat things that are light on my stomach for example cream soup, puddings yogurt. If I eat anything else it does not do well on my stomach. Is there anyone who has the same problem.
  5. Hi I have tupperware plates that I had bought when my daughter was little. They work out fine. They have sandwhich plates that usually come with a place setting. I don't use the little tea cup or silverware. I think it doesn't work for me.
  6. How much is the whey Protein? I would really like to know. I buy it from Walmarts and it costs me$18.99. I am just looking for the best possible price.
  7. I had my surgery done on March 17,2008 I feel bloated at times. My stomach growls.
  8. I have been having a struggle with eating slower. I have been so used to eating fast while I was working I know I am not supposed to do it but sometimes I eat in front of the T.V. Chewing is a big one with me. But I am doing it.
  9. i was on clear liquids for 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after my surgery. I was real hungry;.
  10. Yes you can have your protein drink. I have to go about 100 miles and I take yogurt with me to eat. I know for about 48 hours afterwards you are suppose to be on a full liquid diet. This is the instructions my Dr. has given me.
  11. Andy I am sure glad I came into this with your post. It has giving me alot of valuable info. Thank you
  12. Suzi, The only thing I can say is this don't say anything until you are ready too.
  13. My Dr. said the same thing about no carbonation. Of course I just had to have a coke. I will never drink any Carbonated waster again. I drink either water or Ice Tea. I dont know if the ice tea is much better. Incidentally I got violently sick off the soda pop
  14. Hi Sooner, I am an insulin dependent diabetic. I was on Glucophage but I have been taken off of it. I had to lose 15 pounds before. I was at a borderline. I thought they may not approve the surgery. But they did. I worked so hard that they did the surgery on March 17th. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. What I would do is ask them how much weight I would have to lose? If I did lose the weight would I still qualify for the lapband? I think I mainly qualified because my PMD said I needed this surgery because of the Diabetes. I have been a Diabetic for 15 years. It has started to affect parts of my body. Real bad Neuropathy in both legs, gastrophories.
  15. On an average my blood pressure runs about 120/70 I have been cut to 1 lovastin from 2. My Cozaar has been cut in half. I had my surgery on March 17,2008.
  16. I have IBS and Diverticulosis and have seen no change.

  18. Hi you Michiganders. I used to be from Michigan born and raised in Eastpointe area. I now live in Idaho. I only had to lose 15 lbs. It was great. I feel great since I had my Lapband surgery on March 17,2008
  19. Jennypoo, I am on two blood pressure meds. 2 Lovastatin and Cozaar. I went to my Dr because I was feeling the same way. My PMD has been watching me very close since I had my surgery which was March 17, 2008. In the past 4 weeks my blood pressure has gone from 148/94 to 104/60 so I was cut down to 1 Lovastatin and 1/2 pill of Cozaar Eventually I think I will be off of them. I will see.
  20. I am going to have to look for these in Idaho. Sounds great I'm ready for the store.
  21. Serenety55 No my gosh you are not alone. I was so concerned about this too. I also gained a 2 pounds back. Called my dr. office talked to the Nurse she told me that I may need a band adjustment. I go for one on June 2nd. Also water hasn't been filling me up because I thought that it would fill me up. I was also told that the first fill may not be enough. But dont worry. I will let you know how it works out for me after my 2nd adjustment. I have lost 33 pounds as of right now. I am happy to say I can see my feet again Also I am in a 12/14 pair of pants haven't been in that size for 15 years. What a feeling.
  22. Lynn I should have read further. My Dr. did his bill with along with the fills in one price.
  23. No Lynn Bc/Bs has already paid mine now it is my time to set up my payments. Do you know how much the insurance pays? Mine paid 80%. Also Lynn my surgery was done on March 17, 2008. I just now got the bill from the remaining balance from the Dr. just this week in the mail. May 30, 2008. It just takes a little while.
  24. I weigh myself all the time at least 3 times a day. I just cant understand how I can weigh 200 and the next time 193. Then I get depressed when I weigh more. Also 1 dr. scale is less then the other. Every scale is different. WOW.
  25. Congragulations I feel better that I did before my surgery. You let us know when you have it done and how you feel. I had mine on St. Patty's day. I feel the luck of the Irish.
