Are There special instructions before Fill?

HI

I have an appt tomorrow at 11:30. My question is are there special instructions. Can I eat befo re procedure, like for breakfast a protein shake? I should have asked, but I didn't think about it.

    Yes you can have your protein drink. I have to go about 100 miles and I take yogurt with me to eat. I know for about 48 hours afterwards you are suppose to be on a full liquid diet. This is the instructions my Dr. has given me.

    Do not eat for 1 hour before your fill.

    If your port is difficult to find, ask if they'd like you to do a half sit up so it can be found easier. It seems to help needle pain too.
