Semi-Embarrassing Question For The Ladies... (Sex-Related)

Recommended Posts

I'm reading these and all I can say is when I was a young as you all are, I had the knees to be on top. Now my knees are shot to hell and top is difficult. Also, my port (8 weeks old) is painful when having sex, so it isn't always a quick road back to the good stuff. I'm not sure that being on top would help in the "long" position. Just waiting to heal more.

I never had an issue being on top, even at my highest weight, I am 5'8" tall, so maybe that helped. That and strong legs......:)

I think it all has to do with what you are comfortable with. So girls are just to self con. to do that till they fill small enough. I thinkyou should go for it when you are ready

U know what... I am a pro at finding new and exciting new positions...lol... even tho i am abstaning from any activity until i meet that right one...lol..hmmm anyhoo... get a excersise ball make sure it is filled properly have him to lay, or sit on the ball and then u get on top and u dont have the stress on your thighs and he will be like OH MY GOSH.... i would say try it and see how u like it but that might be too much info...lol... trust me the ball won't burst and u will be able to bounce also... lol....

LOL!! I've got one of those balls, I'm gonna try it out tonight!!!!! {so excited!!} :biggrin2: Thanks for the tips ladies!!!! BTW, I think your leg length might have a lot to do with it, I'm 5'2" and have short stubby legs. :) So it makes it hard {no pun intended, lol} to get a good straddle.

I have trouble being on top I think for me though its due to tightness in my outer thigh.. When on top that muscle is stretched so much I have very little room for movement. I will have to try the squatting though.

Funny thing last week I was wondering if an exercise ball would work...Now I'm dying to get one!!

This is such a trip!

On the exercise ball idea...I did a little looking around on ebay not too long ago and found this love pillow thing. It's this heavy plastic inflatible wedge that allows all sorts of interesting positions without the rolling of the ball. LOTS of fun!!!

I would also look into the Liberator ramps and wedges. I bought the set about a year ago and we love them. They also make them in plus size!!! They are kinda expensive, but are extremely high quality. They also helped us have sex sooner after my surgery. Lots of great new positions with them.

Ahem...well, many of you are talking about being able to be on top again. I am looking forward to just having sex again. Because of my weight and subsequent lack of self esteem I have not had sex with my husband going on on 2 years. Luckily, God blessed me with a totally loving and understanding husband. I assume he is taking care of business himself. I am sure that he would not care but I cant stand the thought of it at my weight. It affects my breathing to have all the weight pushed down on me (hubby isn't exactly a small guy) as I have breathing problems (COPD). Knees are shot so I can't do it doggy style. Can't get on top and fold my legs under me like I am sitting on the fronts of my legs because of all the swelling in my lower legs.

So you can see that I am really looking forward to having the surgery. I don't care what position it is as long as I get some!!!!!

Try laying face down on your matress with you toes on the floor and your fanny waving in the air. Your hubby can take you from behind without the pressure on your knees. If your bed isn't tall enough lean over the kitchen table, he will love it!

I love this....we have our own Kama Sutra thread!!

I have also had some trouble with pressure on the port and I can pass along one bit of advice that has worked for us.

I experimented and found that I'm far more comfortable in the mornings as I have nothing in my stomach. Maybe because internally, it really takes a long time to heal, even though the band etc are safely in place. The nurse at my surgeon's told me 100% healing of all tissue can take up to 6 months.

So, try it empty (yes, I do to the bathroom first also). I still don't have him lie down fully- he's on my lower stomach but stays up on his arms so it's not full weight. I'm far more comfortable.

And once he's in, it's also good for the man to move back up and on his knees and the lady put her legs up, leaning them on his shoulders. If your back can take it, it's also very easy that way. I find that very easy for me.

I hope you guys are still checking this, because I have a question about the exercise ball...

Today I actually went to buy one, but I ran into a wall.

First, what size did you get? Like 55 cm, 65 cm, etc.

Then there is the question of physics...where/how does the guy lay/bend over it? When I was thinking about it today, I don't want it to be like my guy is straining his back or neck to be in such a strange position.

Can someone help with some details?

Oh this is a fun thread...I'm sure as heck gonna go home and try this tonight!:tongue2:

I would imagine putting his "important" parts over the ball, then lying back over the top of it so that his head is somewhat supported, but laying back. He'll be able to look behind him. He might not be able to look you in the eye unless he's got strong abs and can hold his head up, or you help him hold it up.

Ball sizes have to do with weight capacity, so check the manufacturer's website on that - different companies have different capacities. I know at the gym I go to, the white ball (the largest) is the one I use because I'm still 260 lbs.

My hubby is 310 - tall, broad shouldered, deep chest, bit of a belly. I love woman on top because he's so big I can't breathe if he lays on me for very long...we also love side-by-side (facing each other, more space between our heads than between our hips), and loving from behind (one of my personal favorites). I've never had a problem getting on top because my weight is primarily in my belly and breasts, not so much my legs. My legs have always been strong, and since I've been walking so much, they are even stronger.

Squats are the bomb for building leg strength - start with just one or two, do half-squats - put a chair beneath you, go down until your bottom touches the chair, then back up. That's probably the distance you'll have to travel to reach your lover, anyway...do a few more each week and you'll be surprised at how quickly your body will respond.

Because I am not a doctor, take this advice with a grain (okay, a pound) of salt...I can only report what worked for me...

Good luck to you all :)

Okay I am not getting the ball thing either. I don't want to have to search around to find the directions. I need some detailed instructions.

He lays on his back on the ball?

Weight is not an issue for us but I never like to be on top for very long.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
