I made it!! I'm home and doing well other than quite a bit of pain at the port site. Thanks everyone. I'll post the official story tomorrow when I'm hopefully feeling a litle better!!

Well, I'm pretty sore now. I've got some gas pain in my chest/left shoulder but it isn't terrible. My port site though is very sore. I had a hard time sleeping last night because of it. Anyway - I'm up and moving around as much as possible and it's certainly helping.

Good morning Pearlygirl. From what I'm hearing, the next few days will be hardest but than it gets better. Can you drink much or does it hurt?

I was banded too 4-23, and feeling like theres an elephant on my chest! Everytime I drink, or tried Jello, big mistake! I could feel it the whole way down, I can't take in a deep breath, I'm def. in the OMG what the hell did I do? I'm sure it gets better, but I'm miserable! I didn't think the gas would be this bad!

I was banded on the 7th. You'll be surprised at how good you'll be feeling in just a couple of weeks, and will soon forget all this.

I also sometimes experience the same discomfort, but it's a way of letting me know that either the food isn't right, or I'm not chewing well enough. And I still get gas pains -- almost every night -- on my left side, under my rib cage (don't know why, but it's like clockwork).

Pearlygirl, welcome to BandLand!

Great. This is my first time on website. I got banded on Tuesday and all is well.

I pushed it a bit much this morning going to an assembly at my daughter's school. I return to work on Monday. :crying:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
