Guest I AM SO HAPPY

Hi

I'm Lori, aka Lvly now known as I am so happy.

Apologies are in order for my actions in a thread last week about $700 fills.

As you all know, this lap band is a roller coaster ride and support is needed.

This is something I do not have so I came to the discussion board, wrote about it and things got out of control. I am very sorry for all the negative words I posted. There is no excuse for my actions. I know better and I really am a very nice person.

Every word I wrote was true, about the charges for the fills, I've yet to work things out but I was called yesterday that a group of surgeons that know me too well and began a bariatric team, are accepting me as a patient for check ups and fills. They were horrified when I told them of the $1200 fill. They charge my insurance Blue Cross PPO $150 and of course I pay the difference. And they are 10 minutes away.

This move has made things better in my life in more ways than one and I am forever grateful.

I thought I would try to make amends with fellow discussion board people and cross my fingers that you all accept it.

Thanks for reading and again, I am truly sorry.

Lori aka Lvly now I am so happy.

It can be a tough journey, I know.

I'm glad to see that you found a team that will support you.

Hang in there and hang around, this is a good place for support.

I am really glad to hear that you found someone to do your fills.

We are all very supportive here at LBT and it was very sweet of you to apologize. You will learn a lot here and if you have questions, this is the best place to get a quick answer. I am glad you did not leave!

No apology needed. We see enough stories of frustration that it's pretty easy to spot someone who just needs to unload.

welcome aboard and we understand the frustration. We hope that we can help you and help eachother through this journey. it is a roller coaster ride but trust me, it gets better. you are going through what we all did. you are the very beginning of this new life and we all know how that feels. I am pretty new also. had my surgery 11-30-2007. i have lost 33 pounds. it has been hard breaking old habits and i to had some disappointments with my after care but it all worked out and i am so glad now that i had this surgery. so again, welcome back and ask away. we all need advice and to vent at times.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
