I'm not doing so good on the exercise front. Hopefully this week will be better.

Have a GREAT week.

I have been walking everyday for a hour. And I feel so much better. I think pushing myself helps me. I''m going to the beach next week and I can't wait to walk on the beach. I think if you set small goals for yourself it will help you in your exercise goals.

I'm worried about this week too. I am in Texas visiting family today and tomorrow, so I'm going to miss my workout class (I do circuit training 3x/week at Lifetime Fitness M/W/F). I'm almost addicted to the class now, so it hard for me to miss it.

This week is going to be a real challenge. My SIL is having gastric bypass surgery on Tuesday so we will be hanging around the hospital for a couple of days. I guess I will be walking the halls. Gotta try to find a Curves in the town where the hospital is. I'm still going to try to do at least 30 minutes every day.

Monday - Curves Workout

Tuesday- ?? but something

Wednesday Curves workout

Thursday -Walking 45 minutes

Friday - Curves Workout

Saturday - Curves Workout - official monthly weigh in.

I finally made up my mind today to go walking. I have ridden my stationary exercise bike a couple of times since surgery and walked around the backyard with the dog, but that's about it. There is a park near me with a walking track, so I hauled the kids and the dog over there with me. I made it around the track twice. It circles around 4 softball fields, but not sure exactly how long it is. It took me around 30 minutes. :blushing:

I walked 2 miles Saturday and did it again last night! Here is my plan for the week. I'm not released to do much more than walk, and we have a really busy week, but I think 3 days are do-able and a good "starting out" goal:

Monday - 2 miles

Tuesday - will walk 2 miles

Wednesday - my daughters have dress rehearsal for a dance competition, no walking

Thursday - will walk 2 miles

Friday - going out of town...maybe walk in the morning?

I walked on the track again today. My oldest daughter is home for spring break and she went with me! We made it around the track twice in a little less than 30 minutes.

I haven't been able to walk at the walking track yesterday or today. I have heel spurs and they really hurt from those 2 days straight of walking around that concrete track. I decided to rest for 2 days, at least from walking. I'll do 20 minutes on the exercise bike tonight.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
