Need a fill and can't get appt.!

Recommended Posts

LuLuC: That is me exactly. I have not yet reached my first good restriction, so I keep going for fills. I have 7cc's in my 10 cc band and have been getting 1 cc at each appt, except the first fill was 2cc.

The next fill I would like .5 cc. I prefer to sneak up on restriction now that I'm probably getting close, than to be too tight. If this one doesn't last, then I'll go again in two weeks. I think I'll need to be somewhere between 7.5 to 8.5 as well.

I have an appt tomorrow and just called yesterday to get it. I had no problem getting in.

Hey Shortgal - since we're so similar, this last fill 7.9cc's TOTALLY stops me in my tracks. I've never had to sip / chew slowly before EVER. And 2lbs dropped in 3 days - That does not happen.

Got fill #7 scheduled for the 24th, plan on going for another ""pick me up"" as DH calls it - but so far so good...Hope all went well w/your visit.

LuluC. I had planned to ask for .5cc, but I was pretty full after dinner the night before the fill, so I thought maybe my last fill was kicking in a little late. so we decided on .25 cc instead.

I am still able to eat at least a cup of food, but I do stay full in between most meals, especially after dinner. Maybe because the food is more solid at dinner than say Cereal I had for b'fast. It was high Protein Cereal ( Kashi).

But what normal b'fast food is as solid as meat? oatmeal, no, cereal, no, eggs, no, yogurt, no. But I did not eat between b'fast and lunch, just didn't feel as full as after dinner.

I really want to be able to eat solid food (without getting stuck or PB'ing) so I don't want a fill that doesn't allow me to do that.

Next appt is 3/20. I guess I'll figure out how much I need if any, by then. I might just go to the 7.5 spot, which will be only .25 more than now.

Do you get stuck now with this last fill? Can you eat beef or apples? How much in quantity would you say you can eat at a meal?

I've Never been stuck / Never had a PB / Never slimed or anything of the like...Hubby has PB'd many of times....stress sets him over the edge..., I've had to "slow" myself down - and only then it was over a piece of bread / cracker - which is "maybe" once a wk.

I had a really long talk w/my Dr and NP during my last fill - I told them I wake up hungry! - Period. I cut myself off from eating between 6-7pm each night.

Since my activity level is significant (I work out 5 times a wk - 3 times now double dipping w/my husband - so he doesn't feel left out) - I need extra food - Ostrich Jerky (go figure - I am in TX - LOL) was what I should add to my diet. I had been holding myself to my 3 meals a day w/no Snacks - but natural nuts...And was told if I'm that active - I may need to add another meal...If hungry..

Hadn't gotten there - this last fill keeps me full 5hrs between each meal - and I don't like liquid calories / shakes / Average less than a cup of food for reference..

My Breakfast is normally FF yourgur and granola - the rest of the day solid protein....This last fill has only made me SLOW down my meals.....I can still eat anything I think. I can still finnish before DH - who takes FOREVER to eat anymore....No more hot meals:)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
