I hope it happens for you soon!! It is sooo exciting!

I was down to 204 three days ago and today it says 207. Cry_emote_by_terbeag.gif

Thanks for the confidence boost! I hope you are right! I am a bit nervous!

If you like to post a lot look for the "post just to post" thread. It is a lot of fun!

OK... so it's been like AGES since I have posted. I apologize. I have been slacking. Just too busy and not paying any attention to my April Avengers. So sorry!!!

Things have been good for the most part. I already met my end of year goal. I wanted to be down 45 pounds since surgery. So I revised it to 50 and I only have 2 more pounds to go. I have lost 60 pounds altogether, 48 since the surgery. I finally hit my sweet spot after my 6th fill at the end of August. I haven't had a fill since and have been doing OK until just recently. I think the cold weather has had an adverse effect on my band. I've been BPing a lot and having horrible acid reflux at night. The only thing that has changed is the weather, so that has to be it. I have a call in to my doctor and am waiting on one of the nurses to call me back. We'll see.

So how's everyone else doing? I plan to go back and read up on the posts to see how everyone has been.

Hope you are all doing well and that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Hello Tammi.

Great to see more activity. I am sorry you're having issues with the reflux. I wonder if it could be weather related too. My band recently began feeling a little tighter than normal once the weather began dipping down.

I think I am so close to my sweet spot though that I don't wanna touch anything for now.

Heard from the doctor's office. I am going in tomorrow for a slight unfill. She said probably it was from mucus building up. I do have bad allergies and even though I am on medication, odds are that's what is causing it. Since cedar season has barely begun, I better do something now. Then in 2 weeks I'll go back and see if that has helped or hurt.

Here is a strange question for the ladies... do you notice more weight loss during your time of the month? For the past two months I have lost 4 and 5 pounds respectively during that one week. I am not complaining, but that is an unusual amount in one week. I normally lose 1-2 pounds per week.

Ya'll will both be there soon... Just keep doing what you are doing! I tell you, it was a great feeling to cross that barrier and know that I will never see a "2**" on that scale again!!

I am glad you are getting in to see your doctor! Hopefully a little unfill will do the trick!

I actually seem to only lose during this time. It is so wierd! I will hold on to every ounce until halfway through my cycle! Then I lose all the wieght for the month! Just weird!

I always lose atleast 2-3 pounds in the 10 days surrounding that TOM. Usually 1-2 pounds the day it starts and then 1-2 a couple days after it ends.

So I went for my "unfill" today. She took out .4 cc's. That still leaves me 6.4 in my 10cc band. I can certainly tell that I am not quite as restricted. I was able to eat a decent lunch and dinner and haven't felt the need to PB. I just finished a bottle of gatorade, which I hate, but she said I was dehydrated. I know I haven't been drinking enough. It's hard to drink when I have been staying so full. She said she really thinks I have just been plugged up with mucus from my allergies. I have an appointment to go back in 2 weeks if I feel like I am not restricted enough. She said if I need it she'll put back in .2 and see if that works. I'll just be thankful if I can sleep through the night without waking up with that horrible acid reflux. It was worse than when I had a hiatal hernia before surgery.

Congrats and goodluck. I hope that you have found the happy medium / sweet spot with your band.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
