Lately I'm always running late for work which drives me kinda nuts... there's a whole bunch of construction on my way in and I never know how the traffic will be.

I'm just wondering how common it is to be chronically late for work.

i used to be really really anal about getting everywhere on time preferably about 5-10 mins early, especially work. but lately i've been either walking in right at 7 or a few minutes after. and it stinks cause my boss is super anal about it. (we're all in management but she treats us like we are hourly). lucky for me, she rarely gets in as early as i do ... except days im running really late and we get to walk in together. that's a lovely walk

I used to work 8-5 and was almost always late because of the traffic in my area. So, I switched my hours to 7:30-4:30 and there is hardly any traffic. Now I am usually at work by 7:15. I love getting here early because it gives me close to an hour of peaceful, quiet time before everyone else gets here and all "all you know what" breaks loose.

when I worked I was always always early. I have a real issue with being late to things...I think it's because my parents were always late and I hated it.

Punctuality is my "Thing"..

This is why I love my job's flexibility and telecommuting. It doesn't matter when I start work or quit, as long as my job is done. If I'm in the office, I'm in whenever I want to be, usually by 9:30. If I'm not, I'm working at home in my robe - usually available around 7:15.

It has been several years since I've had a job that required set office hours, but I seem to remember not having any problems. I always liked getting in early & being able to leave early, so traffic was never a huge issue. Just not liking to wake up.

I'm usually late because of the traffic or how long it takes to find a car park... I park on the street and all day spots are hard to get. I usually get in around 9.15am. I work for a global IT company and they're very flexible as long as we put the hours in. Also I can work from home and generally start about 7 or 7.30am when I do. It's all about give and take.

I have been late twice in ten years. It is important to me to be on time because i relieve another supervisor and if i am late they have to wait on me. I don`t like waiting on people , so i figure they probably don`t either. Donna

You are my hero. I am one of those individuals who is perpetually in a great flap, rushing around at the last minute.... And unfortunately I live with a man who is built the same way. This serves to compound the problem. This is not something of which I am proud.

I'd be on time every day if I didn't have to get my four year old dressed and out the door with me. He's not exactly a morning person. So let's just say I average about ten minutes late....daily. YIKES!

Late late late. I am a chronically messy and disorganised person - and this is the one area of my personality I have found really necessary to work on in order to lose weight. It is precisely that - laziness, disorganisation, lack of forethought which caused me to gain wait. No time to exercise becuase I'm chasing my tail, no food to eat becuase I couldnt be bothered shopping, so dial for a pizza again type of thing. NO food for kids lunches, so call in to the convenience store on the wayt o school to pay heinous prices for absolute rubbish.

I have really managed to mend my ways and nobody has been late for school yet this year, lol, but they've only been back at school a few weeks (our long holiday is over December/January).

I'd always manage to get places on time, so I lie when I say late, but the trouble is, I'd leave a bomb site behind me. To get somewhere on time and leave a clean house behind, now that would be a dream.

LOL, Jacqui...that surprises the hell out of me about you!

If I would only choose what I'm going to wear the night before, that would really help me to be on time...but in all the years I've been working I still can't manage that. :)

I'm always late, for everything. I read once that ppl like me are late so they make a "grand" entrance.....NOT. I don't plan on being late, I just think of other things I need to do before I leave. Of course it helps that I'm the boss and I sign my own check, LOL.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
