Losing weight too fast?

Recommended Posts

Thanks! I was struggling this morning as I stared at the scale and saw the same weight I've been at for 7 days. But I thought, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming" and it made me feel better.

I'm glad too that I was banded in February - this is a great group to be part of and the support has been wonderful!

You know, I'm thinking that may need to be the official Double V mantra!!!

Just keep swimming!

sis, are you staying over night at the hospital? I'm pretty sure you are, just forgot to ask earlier. What time is your surgery?

Today is Wednesday, just one more day and you are on your way to a great new body! I'm so happy for you!

I can't wait to hear your story and see the results. Are you keeping a blog about it all?? if not, please do. I am going to need it when it is my turn to get the band! I'm not afraid of the surgery at all. We've both had C-sections, and it is't anything like that kind of pain, but what I am afraid of is the feeling of being sick alot...the burps and saliva stuff....ewww.. I hope I'm one of those that doesn't have a problem getting stuff down, but you know our luck.....

Good Luck to you sis, I'm praying for you and thinking of you always!

Luv Ya!

Hugs sis! (for anyone wondering, Yankeeblue is my real sister) I sent an email to the family, (they didn't give me the surgery time until noon today) plus I started a new thread for my own journey: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f113/my-surgery-2-25-a-52892/

(my surgery is on the 21st, I messed up, lol.) Maybe I should start a blog, instead of cluttering up threads with my little stories . . . but then I like getting feedback, and sharing with my fellow sisters and brothers here in the Victorious Valentines! And you know how I am about writing, LOL . . . slow typer here. :)

Actually, when I had my c-section, I honestly had little to no pain at all. The incision site just felt like a big paper cut . . . kinda of annoying, but no real pain. it was my gall bladder removal (done with the laparoscope) that caused me a lot of pain. Since this might be similar, I can only hope it's not as much pain!:wink2:

Thanks so much for all your support and love sis . . . I'll be in touch, and be letting you know how it all goes! Hang in there with your journey!

Just keep swimming! :(

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
