hi there new to the forum

:party:hi there just new to the forum and can i say it is so nice to see so meny people who have what i have a gastric band i didnt no there was a site for this i had my band done on june 2005 and what a time i had but before i tell you my story i had went to see my gp in the jan of 2005 and he put me forward and in the march i went to see the doctor at the hospital and had a talk with him he told me i was good for it but i might wait up to 2 years for the op so of i went and in the june of the same year i got a call the day before i went on holiday to spain to ask me to come up and see the doctor at the hospital he took my weight had another talk with me and sent me home, now i was away for 2 weeks so when i gt home that same day i got a call to say my op was for the following day i nearly died on the spot i thought someone was joking with me so went into hospital the day after i had my op for gastric banding woke up and i was in some amount of pain that was the wednesday and was sent home on the sunday by the monday i had to get my own gp out he told me i had a infection and was to rest by the tuesday my wounds were weeping pus and blood my husband took me to a/e and they opened my wounds cleaned my wounds out and said they have never seen anything like it but sent me home again by the wed i fainted in my toilet the same again puss and blood i was rushed in and keeped in and by the sat they told me i had mrsa and was in for nearly 4 weeks they took my port out thats were the mrsa was and sent me home now 3 years on i think my band has slipped so waitng to hear from my hospital i am from glasgow scotland so in meny ways i didnt wait that long.:thumbup:
