What is the grossest thing you have done to eat something?? Yesterday I was craving a hot dog so bad ??? I have never really liked hot dogs. Well I knew I couldnt eat one so I took a one inch piece and pureed it in the processor with some ketchup! It took me a while to get it down but it was actually good! LOL It was like a chunky baby food, so gross in texture, but it satisfied my craving! Jill

Hey girls....

I am so sorry I have been a.w.o.l. I am having a very very tough time with life in general lately.

Brandi--I am so sorry hun. I love you, if that helps any, we all do. I hope things get better for you.

Claud--Call me please so we can talk! I want to know everything that is going on.

I am sorry if I have missed anyone else with stuff going on, I am not adjusted to this new layout blah...

I am having a really hard time girls, I need prayers. I am seriously to the point of packing up my kids and running away. I wouldn't tell anyone where I went, it is the only way I could ever get away. But what then? I will post on yahoo when I can. Life has spun so out of control for me. I thought being skinny would fix my marriage, it made it worse. :rolleyes2:

And now I can't stop myself from obsessing about my weight. I need help, but I can't get it. He would know.....

Praying for you Boo! It must be so difficult! Take care of yourself and the girls. It will be very hard to live a life on the run, if there is any possible way to get him to counselling with you I would try. Take care! Jill

Boo, what can we do? Anything?

I'm here if you need to talk or vent or anything. I no longer have close contacts with Johnny Two Fingers or Frankie Sticks, so I can't help you that way, but I'd be happy to lend an ear and try to come up with something!

It sucks that life isn't fixed because we lose weight, it seems it just lifts the veil that was covering other things. Dammit! Why? Why can't it make things better?????

Take Care, you!

Boo - try to find someone to talk to - maybe a minister? Can you get away while at work and go see a therapist? This isn't abnormal - the whole lose weight and new problems thing - they warned us about it in the shrink visit pre-op. Obsessing over your weight may become a problem in itself. Try try try to go see someone who specializes in weightloss therapy. We love ya and you are in my prayers.

Jill you nut - pureed hot dog? LOL too funny! I guess my worst was in the liquid phase when I chewed up a dorito and then spit it out. Although I do that every now and then, think I want something and then when I get it chewed up realize it isn't worth the calories.

Jill, when I was on mushies, it was the Fourth of July...I pureed not only a hot dog, but baked Beans and cole slaw, too! And I made a watermelon granita...

I totally understand.

Jill....congrats on the scale moving! Just be careful if you're too tight...

SO....I GOT A JOB! Granted, its only a 90 day contract job for now, but it could lead to a perm position, so I'm happy! I'll have money and benefits again starting monday and the commute is good and it'll be a great project to work on! Woo hoo! I'm so excited!

Hope you lovely ladies are doing well and keeping warm!!

VA - yay! I'm happy you got a job - and I'm happy its a good commute! Anything more on the man front?

Bman - Hon, whats up? Fill us in.

Boo - hang in there baby, we're all praying for you.

Claud - have fun in chicago - guard your heart sweetie, just remember you've been hurt before, so guard your heart.

Sweet - hows the knee? Does the swinging hurt it?

Ok - my big big big news - ok its not actually news yet - more of I'm hoping and praying. I was talking to my dil last night, she's a week late!!!!!!!!! I might be a gramma!!!! I could barely sleep last night, I was so excited, and dh didn't sleep well either so I bet he was dreaming about that grandbaby too! They'll be married 2 years in July, and had said they were going to wait until August to try to get pregnant, so we were  but its the way they are, they plan EVERYTHING! Then they told us that her sister was planning to get pg the same summer and its always all about her so they didn't want to get pg at the same time. So I crossed my fingers and on Christmas day my dil told me that maybe we'll have a suprise next Christmas - but she didn't go into it anymore. So I've been thinking maybe they're moving up the plans, and then last night when she was telling me all this she said she went off the pill in Dec. so now she's not sure if she's really pregnant or just messed up from going off the pill. Either way, whether she is or not at least I have the hope that it'll be soon. I'm so fricking excited!!

Back to band related issues. VA it does feel good to get back into the exercise mode again. I've been walking everyday now that I got back into it, sometimes even 2 walks. It really does a body good.

WOW STEPH!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that your DD is Peggers!!!

Not much new on the man front, although I did talk to the friend that encouraged him to make a move on me when we went on our ski weekend a few weeks ago, so she's going to talk to him tomorrow night and see if she can encourage him to move forward and forget the past and see if we can be more than friends! Keep your fingers crossed!!

I got my 2nd workout for the week in last night...met my guy and another guy friend at the gym and ended up working out longer than I expected to! (Nothing like trying to impress a guy at the gym LOL)!

My scale isn't budging though, but I'm guessing it's b/c I'm actually getting some muscle, so I'll just hope that in the next week or so I'll see a nice big drop one day!

B'Man...how are you doing girl?? Any news on the job front? Did they give you any severance?

Claud and Steph...your Chargers played a good game, but I hate to say it but it's gonna be PATRIOTS all the Way!!! :cool2:

Hope you all have a great day!!! Thanks to all of you for being such a great source of support...not just for the weight loss, but for all of lifes challenges!!!! Love you all!

Hey Y'all!

So I am really tired and about to get in bed here, but wanted to check in.

Where is B'man? I'm worried about her!

jill - I pureed some taco meat to have a taco whip. It was soooooo gross. And another time I ate pudding because I desperately wanted something sweet. You don't understand. I HATE PUDDING!

Steph - I'll keep my fingers crossed! If DIL is preggers, what will you have the grandbabies call you? Nanny? Nana? Granny? *giggling*

sweets - how's the knee?

BooBoo - hold on, sis. Or maybe you do need to leave. Maybe that's what's best for you. Life is too short to be unhappy.

I had my 1 year check up last week. I have officially lost 87 lbs since my first appt. My surgeon is very happy for me - he said that I did extremely well my first year with the lapband. I am so proud of myself! I weighed in at 212.5, and feel like I've lost since then. I got a 0.5 cc fill at my appt. I've got a solid 10cc in my band, so he's reluctant to add too much more, as we max out at 11 with this band. He also got me on the first poke!

Love you all - things are so so so hectic. I'll find my way to Yahoo and fill you in, as it's a lot of work stuff.

Nathalie

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
