Losing a friend over lap band or bypass

<p><p>Hi,</p> <p> </p> <p>My best friend is having lap band in the next month. I am so excited for her and support her decision. Mainly for her health and to be around for her family for a very long time. She has really researched both surguries, I am so proud of her. Lately I have noticed stories where people have surgery and end up losing their friends. She also has a fear of changing after losing weight. I would be devestated because I truly value our friendship. I want to know what I can do to transition for her change. Has anyone had any similiar situations or advice??
