...More Snack-bowl of cap'n crunch Cereal, pudding snack cup, 14 microwaved pieces of pepperoni, a mini snickers, a handful of jolly ranchers, the top layer of a mini twix, and a square of cherry cobbler.

I always start my day off with good intentions, then it goes down hill.

me too, i'm so good all day long but then between the hours of 9pm to 11pm it all goes downhill. i just eat tons of random little crap. whatever is in my fridge or in my pantry... little bites eaten while standing in front of the fridge...

I was thinking the same thing as ya'll when Kat said her pie hole report was a bad one. WHAAAA??? That and Judy's mention of having some of that Soup At Hand makes me realize that I will never be able to eat like a normal person...

Jane - your parents sound like my parents too. I'm super spoiled and I know no one will ever treat my like my mom and dad do. To them I'm still their little girl. My sisters and I are all super spoiled. Might it be because we're all still single and without kids? Will it change once I have kids? Hope not!

My piehole report for today:

One cup of coffee with sugar and cream

2 Breakfast tacos - flour tortilla stuffed with eggs scrambled with hot dogs, tomatoes, onions and bell peppers.

2 8oz glasses of Water so far...

Tonight we are having a big BBQ here at the office. We're celebrating getting back to normal after IKE! The guys are all smoking meat and BBQ'ing out in the back of the building and when you walk outside it smells so good! I made potato salad, baked Beans and three big huge peach cobblers.

Okay, now I'm off to go cut up some onions. Glad I brought my mandollin with me!

LOL Haydee @ random posts!

I am daddy's little girl, despite being married (he gives Russ hell all the time about treating me right), and I expect no change when I have my baby! Dad will always be my hero.

My mom is my best friend, it's just that.. we're so alike, and both stubborn and I guess bitchy for lack of a better word. So when we're getting along, it's great.. but if we have any sort of conflict (like what is going on with my sister), neither of us back down, so we just have to keep our thoughts seperate. The rest of the family enjoys watching us fight since we're both so catty. And she's a negative person, which she admittedly gets from her mom, and I have to make a big effort not to be like that.. She can't just be happy for you, it's "That's good, BUT..." there's always a but.

I had the choco milk this morning, I make it with 2% milk and the hershey's Syrup that is lower in calorie and they add Calcium & Vitamins.< /p>

For lunch we went to my favorite deli, which is no longer my fav deli.. 2 visits to them in the past month, in a row where service & food were bad. I had cup of broccoli & cheese Soup that was soooo watered down, and some of Russell's chips..oh and some mini cornbread muffins...and about 4oz of Dr. Pepper.

I ate 2 mini packs of starbursts (4 pieces total), and have had 4 bottles of Water so far.. 16oz ones. I am definitely getting my water in these days.

About to take my prenatal vitamin.. tonight is Crack Barrell night. I have been able to stay 'good' when we go there, so not worried about my bad nibbling habits tonight. We don't get home from bowling & CB, and then Tennessee scratch-off run till about midnight..so then I go straight to bed.

Did I tell you guys I'm going to Tunica this weekend with my mom? :D

Russell wanted to invite his brother down, and my dad is going out of town somewhere to play in the WPT stuff.. so she invited me. I went through my coupons, I have about $1,200 in free-play coupons, so I have plenty of money to go! Then ironically one of the casinos called me yesterday and invited me to a VIP Oktoberfest dinner for this Friday and they're doing drawings for $60k in cash prizes. My mom said she's in, so I signed up for it. Woohoo. Going to be a nice fun relaxing weekend.. room service, payperview, and slots!

yes, i'm jealous! Haven't been to the casino in awhile. But even when we do it's no where near the caliber of gambling that ya'll do. We each take about $50 bucks and we spend our time playing the quarter slots and gossiping about the girls that didn't go... We're so bad...

This weekend I have lots going on too. I've got to get my house straightened up, get my garage cleaned out. And sunday we're having girls night out. We're going to a concert. A very famous mexican singer, Luis Miguel. He's one of those sexy romantic singers that guys hate so it's all girls. I'm so excited, I haven't seen him live in years...

Laura~ Careful at the casino! That is the hardest place for me as a non smoker. I quit 1 year, 3 months and 4 days ago. On Monday we were in there for a couple hours for the football game and after an hour I get really weak! I swear, I walk in and think, "man it stinks in here...hope my purse does not smell like this when I leave." Then an hour or so later I think, "man, I wish I could smoke!" The constant smell wears me down.

I did not go to ANY smoking places for a couple of months after I quit! And I did not drink either. I remember the first time after sex too. I was thinking, man, I want a ciggy so bad (you all know why:biggrin::D). That was super hard!

Good luck and bring mints!

I already thought about that, I'm going to bring one of those medical masks.. There's actually a lot of people at the Tunica casinos that wear them.. I've never really been sure why, always thought it had to do with the mosquitos.. but anyway, I'll wear one and blend right in. Lots of gum, and jolly ranchers!

Yup Terry, that's why I'm excited to be going, and not spending any money! Getting my last thrills in while I can.

Oh and I guess I could mention, I've been going out on some of the smoke breaks and was in the CEO's office while they had a meeting & smoked today. Yesterday I avoided smoke, today I didn't and.. still have not wanted one. Russell is horrible, he hates smoking now (mmhm), so he throws a big hissy.. I guess it's his allergies. Doesn't bother me or make me crave.. still taking the mask to Tunica just in case!

I guess I thought my pie hole report was not so great, because most of the day was processed food! Plus I worked so hard eating those danged pinon nuts it felt like I ate all day long!!! Hard little suckers to crack and shell!!!

Today, thus far I have had

B-slice of Peanut Butter wheat toast for breakfast

L--Junior bacon cheeseburger from Wendy's with half the bun tossed--ate all but about 3 bites.

S--3 cheese curds

D--is going to be salad....we are going to my MIL, and she is making dumplings, and salad and cobbler-probably peach. I am going to eat salad so I can have some cobbler, much rather it than the dumplings!!!

Telling all of you keeps me in watch though, or I would have ate more cheese curds when Manda offered them!!!

She said her Dad has been in bed sick since last Friday, with terrible stomach cramps, and nausea, he refuses to see a Dr. I am not surprised by it, but I hate that it is upsetting to his kids. Would not surprise me for it to be his liver failing, he has drank for years.

Manda was headed to a meeting at her sisters school with an assistant dean of students. Her sister transferred over last week, come to find out Manda paid for her lab fees etc. because her Dad couldn't afford it (nother reason to dislike him!), so she was told to come back into the office in a couple of days and they would have her locker assignment. When she showed up here last night, she was lugging a full backpack, and carrying 2 books. They told her they did not have any lockers available, there are several awaiting repair. So Courtney and I weighed the backpack and her books. When I got on the scale without them and then with them, there was a 38 pound difference! Seriously!

So Manda called to make an appointment to discuss this with them, if they had no room for extra students, why did they allow her to transfer in, and what are they going to do about her having to lug that weight around all day. Manda said she is not going to be confrontational, but instead ask which office would be the best for her to stow her things in in lieu of a locker until they get one fixed for her....just not allow them to ignore her or expect her to carry it everywhere. I am waiting to hear what happen!

Well, I need to put away some of the things I bought in town. Was not crowded, and I am sure glad I got it done and over with!! If I hadn't done it before we leave, I would have had to when we got home Friday, or done it on the weekend, and I HATE going on weekends!!!

We will be leaving after seeing my brother in law at my inlaws tonight. So will catch up when I get back!

Hugs!!

Kat

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
