I definitely thought back to last week--and yes Tracy, you were feeling no pain for awhile there---I think, things are kinda fuzzy around that time for me!!

I am so addicted to this ---I got up to take some Tylenol, and here I ended up!!!

Kat post your pics!!

Anyone watch Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School? Judy? Pam?

I recorded last year's marathon and finally watching, man these girls are ghetto. And one girl selling her dead mother's ring for a competition.. need to smack a girl.

Uhm.. BIL is here for the weekend, so the BOYS are hooked on the video game, while I clean, dye my hair, etc. Making a red wine onion pot roast, smells so good I can't wait till it's done.. meanwhile I am doing the Dove chocolate diet (teehee) till it's ready.

I don't have any idea where the camera is even at right now. The Water disposable is still in my packed suitcase!

I forgot to have Rick take before pics of the belly, so I got up in the middle of the night, went in to the kids playroom, and snapped a few in the mirror--they are not good, and not something I will share with the world----just my friends!!! I have not taken any since surgery---but I will, and I will get my others done too....but you have to tell me what to do with them after that!!!

Night all!

Good morning violets!!

I slept like a rock and so did dh AND macy. I woke first to find everyone still asleep and I thought something was wrong! What a peaceful morning.

This time last week we were sitting at our round table on the patio having coffee and chatting away. What fun that was....

DD had her picture taken at school and they were horrible. For the irst time ever, I did not buy the pics. So I jumped on the phone and called Sears and she has an appt today to have her pic taken. I just could not see spending so much money on pictures that sucked! lol

GO ASTROS! (had to throw that in there)

I have done well with eating since our trip and I have lost some of the pounds I had gained over the past 2 months. After I lose a few more pounds I will reaveal how much I had gained. Ouch...just hurts too much right now to admit it. Oh well it was a conscious decision. I knew what I was doing when I was doing it. Now I am just getting back with the program. Thank goodness it has been easier than I thought! I am envious of Suzie getting a pool. I would LOVE to have one! I would live in it!

Have a great day everyone!

You all are so wonderful!!! Guess what I got in the mail yesterday?? Yes, that's right - a postcard!!! I'm so sorry that I had to miss it, although now I'm glad that I did! LOL I wasn't sure when Shannyne would have her baby, and luck has it that she had him that weekend! If I would have been gone I would have missed it...

However next trip I hope to be there...I just have a lot going on this year. I have a baby shower on July 13th for my other daughter (who is doing VERY well I must say), July 30th we get the keys to our new house, and then my other grandson is due to be born on August 16th. Maybe something towards the end of the year???

You all look fabulous in the pics you've posted and I almost cried when I got the postcard. You are all like family to me....hell my family doesn't even send me postcards when they go on vacation! LOL

Thank you all for being here!!! :rolleyes2:

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
