January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,

Am I too late? I have been on an LBT leave since Thanksgiving. Thankfully, I did not do too much damage to myself. No weight gain but I am back at week 2 of my couch to 5k program. grrrrr.

I started back on my workout plan on 12/31 and I was stumbling on the boards looking for a challenge and came across this thread. I would love to join but understand if I am too late...let me know if you have room for another. I have been working out all week and should meet my goal of 300 min cardio and 180 min strength for the week.

Have a good night all.

When and how often do we report? It seems like daily would be a lot of work for Stephanie to keep up with. How about picking a day of the week to report our updates? Or did I miss where this has already been discussed?

Thanks!

I see I have a gazillion PM's to catch up on, and I will take care of all before lunch tomorrow. I will also have the spreadsheet caught up by then.

KAY - Of course you can join! Anyone can join anytime along the way! PM me your start weight/goal weight/weekly cardio minutes goal/resistance minutes goal. If you don't do one or the other, just put zero.

ALL - I live here on this forum, and I have a worksheet to keep up with everyone daily. I really don't mind at all. The only thing I ask is for everyone to keep me honest and check the spreadsheet to make sure I credit you with the correct numbers. The week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. I will try to make sure I update the spreadsheet every day before lunch.< /p>

I am so excited to see how everyone progresses! clap2.gif

WHEW! Got it all done, I believe! Loaded the chart and answered all the PM's! I love it! But I did think of one thing...since this week started on Monday and we are just getting going, I need everyone to post their minutes so far for this week so I can give everyone the right numbers for week ending on the 6th.

Stef - in case you didn't know this, you are an amazing woman.

And I'm still seriously coming to your place this summer for a BBQ. Lol.

Cardio 90/Resistance 120

Rode the trainer for an hour and a half and went to the gym for two hours. Really enjoying pushing my boundries on the amount of weight I'm lifting. We worked our backs today. Tomorrow is biceps/triceps...can't wait!

Hey, Suze...the feeling is mutual and you BETTER be coming! In fact, if this big-ass BBQ comes to fruition, I'm gonna invite everyone on ALL these threads I subscribe to! But even if I don't pull off the mass BBQ, you still have to come to see me!

Yeah it's a new thing I am trying. I went off the sugar a week ago and figured I might as well get off the flesh too. I would love to go full out vegan at some point but not until I learn enough about vegetarian nutrition to make sure I am not going to be deficiant in anything. Plus giving up cheese will probably be difficult though a neccesary evil because it is soooo bad for me. Plus I have watched too many peta videos lately.

Hey ZZ have you seen the peta chicken videos? If you were interested in not eating the bird anymore that is definitely something to watch. It is very horrid and graphic though.

Skinny Bitch is an amazing book. Hilarious in how it is written.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
