Couch to 5K Anyone want to start with me ?

Stranger, your post made me giggle - but then it hurt!..My superbowl party kept me in bed yesterday. First time since being banded, I was "overserved" - no not on food. After a LOT of coffee this AM, I'll hit the gym - going to take a class rather than run (doubt I can do that still 2 days later).

I love that...."overserved." Kinda takes all the personal responsibility out of it....and goodness knows it's NEVER my fault! I'm gonna use that from NOW ON!!!!!!! hahahahahaha!!!

Hello all - I have been a little off path with C25K, but I have been to the gym. I slowed way down for some reason. I have basically gone back to week one. Sorry for being such a slacker!

But all of you are SOOO inspiring. Thanks for reporting your amazing efforts!

Oye, it must be in the Water. I've not run this wk, my left knee hurts - like someone kicked the back of it, and that very may well have happened by a disgruntal Cowboy fan or 2 that were at our home on Superbowl day. *I was a pretty obnoxious Giant fan*

I'm riding the bike - did that the last 2 days with not too much trouble, giving it another day or 2..might try some heat/ice see how that goes.

Happy Wed otherwise:)

Oh I'm so not riding outside...LOL

It's cold in Dallas too - 30/40ish - I belong to 24hr fitness...Rode the bike there while watching the ticket tape parade on the flat screens.

I actually like snow , but in a small doses - going skiing next month, and can't wait. I try my snow suit on daily to see if I can sqeeze my A%% in it - No go still , but have 6wks to go....

Hey Mindy! Good to hear from you. I think I suggested earlier this week that we all attempt another race on March 1st - the race is actually in Houston - the Conoco Rodeo run. It would be flat (your hill stories scared the snot out of me) but it is almost always rainy. However, I will be in Houston that weekend for something else if anyone is game.

Lulu - the knee - ouch! Hope it gets better soon. And yeah - I am surprised you didn't hear my Giants fan from there. He was hoarse on Monday.

I was telling a friend of mine (who is opposed to me being banded but ok well) what WE have all been up to. She was so inspired, she ran day 1 week 1 yesterday! YEAH! Your inspiration is reaching beyond the boards. Well done.

And Whoysa - what can I say? I live for your posts!

TEX: Aww thats nice to hear! Im gona have to start posting crazy pictures again soon.

Yesterday was my 6month bandaversary. I never would of thought i could lose over 100 in 6 months.

Saw the doc yesterday and im his shinny apple now. No fill needed this time!

Yaaaaah.

All the ladies there reconized me as i was in the cover of a health magazine recently. WOw...i felt like a celeb!

I drank 3 liters of Water yesterday and i peed and peed and peed some more. But my snacking was way better with all that water.

I ran 30 mins today as i wanted to get into the spin class that lasts 45mins. so 5.10-5.40 run and 5.45 - 6.30 spin class. Still 5 mins late for work.

OK so I started over on week 2 this morning. No more excuses. I know it's cold outside sooooooo, I have a perfectly good gym at work that's free so I have a buddy at work that I will work out with each morning. I can come on the weekends to use the gym as well. (I've been such a slacker)

I ran week 2 day today - not as bad as I feared. I will do another day of week 2 on Saturday and then head into week 3. It felt good to get back on track!!

And - the perk - I don't have to bundle up to jog!! That does make it a bit easier :)

LULU - hope your knee gets better soon!

Whosya - you're our celeb - you ran 5 miles!!!!!!

Whosya....congrats on all of your accomplishments...you definitely are an inspiration. The photographer posted pics from the race last Saturday on the web, and there are certainly some great ones of both Mindy and me...but unfortunately, I can't copy them, so it would take you 25 years to find us. Oh well.

So, I got another fill today. Thank goodness, because tomorrow is my 3 month bandiversary (half of whosya) and I've only lost 25 pounds (one fourth of whosya). I am definitely in the mood for a kick start!

I'm starting week 6 tonight. After running 20 minutes straight on Monday, this should be a cinch--has intervals of 8 minutes and 5 minutes running. I can't believe it AT ALL, but it's true--it DOES get easier, and we CAN do it! I'm lovin' it!!!! I've actually inspired 2 or 3 people to get on the C25K bandwagon!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
