I just went up .5 to put me @ 7 in a 10cc band. I can't tell how BIG a difference things are. My surgeon thought I would need to go up to 8 to get to the sweet spot - but for now this is probably all I could stand. I'm barely able to eat a full 1/4c of food per meal & I need to be able to eat real food also, cause every Protein Shake makes me want to vomit - and I've tried them All (pantry is packed).

I was thinking I wanted to get to 7....maybe I'll ask for 6.5 first and see what happens.

Stranger: It will get easier!!! I promise!!! Just keep at it...if you in pain from your knees...legs...feet etc then miss a couple of days to recover. I am amazed at my body!

I thought at my weight there is NO way i will do a 5k! Now i do one 3 to 4 days a week and my time ha come down from 42 mins to 38 mins now.

I have been running 35 mins and walking 10 (5 start and 5 after) I think im slooooooooooowly going to ramp up to running 40 mins with 5 on each side walking. then 45 then 50. I think to get to 50 it might take me 3 or 4 months...but theres no rush.

As far as CC go. Everyone is different.

My 10cc was tight when doc put it on as i have a large stomach.. i got 5cc now and i am totally at the right restriction. I think as i lose i might need more cc as my stomach gets smaller. I can tell though even 0.5cc more and i would be in big TROUBLE.

Happy Sunday Evening Ya'll

Did Wk 4 in full today (first day), and I think I'll just carry that over one more week. It was tuff, but I think the new sports bra (not likely - but ha!@) helped. All the best for Wk5, Cheers~

Happy Birthday Whosya!!!!!!!!

I am bound and determined to run this week!!! Even if I have to knock the icycles off of my nose!!! I miss it and that feels really weird to me!!

I've been doing cardio tapes in the house since I haven't been going outside in all this cold. I have been surprised that I have been able to last 30minutes on those without sweating profusely!

I will be doing week 3 - sorry to be behind y'all!

Well, I have not run in a few days thanks to "the bug." I could not get enough sleep. But I have great news - I hold in my hands a letter from my insurance approving my surgery! :tt1:

They received the request on 1/23 and the letter is dated 1/24.

And the unhealthy bug is gone, so tomorrow back on the horse I go. Wombat - I am with you here in week 3. How long did everyone stay in week 3 - was it pretty much just 2 weeks? Just wondering.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
