Are there any June 2025 Gastric Bypass Folks out there? How are you all doing?

06/11/25 was my surgery date. A month out and I constantly feel bloated (or full) I never feel hungry. I wake up feeling full and go to bed feeling full. I see something and think I might like to eat it, but I really don't want anything.

It's to the point that it's all I can do to drink my water. I never meet my water goal, but I try.

I had mine June 17th. It’s been almost 4 weeks. Eating, staying hydrated have been going well with no major issues. However, I have a terrible burning/stabbing pain internally between two stitches on my right side. My surgeon says it’s normal, it’s excruciating at times. I’ve been wearing an abdominal binder to work which has been helping to function as normally as possible. Sleep is rough because of this pain, every movement is sharp and wakes me up. I’m ready for this part to be over. I’m at the point where mentally I’m feeling regret but I know it’s because of the pain.

My surgery was 6/11 had the gastric bypass. I feel so blessed I have not had really any complications. I am down 28.2 pounds since surgery but I am very frustrated with the weight loss. I seem to be stalled and just not moving at all. only losing 1-5 pounds a week the last 4 weeks. thought the weight was supposed to come off quickly in this first few months.

the pain will go away i had severe side pain on my left side like when you drink a lot of water and then go on a run that stitch pain. but at 5 weeks mine was gone completely.

I am from August 26 and I wear a binder when I sleep. I didn’t have pain until two days ago sharp and went from my right side around to my back and next day I had my post op appointment and she said it was normal because it’s the part where they sowed it into the muscle or something like that. And she said I will get pain but that it will go away eventually as we go along. I honestly take Tylenol dissolvable they come in small packets it’s powdered and goes straight to your tongue it’s like berries flavored and honestly it knocks me out and I sleep fine and don’t feel pain for a while. And also get yourself a pregnancy pillow the u shaped long ones it does wonders for your sleep. Hope this helps
