  1. I am really struggling with this as well I am 6 weeks out and just losing a couple pounds a week i feel defeated i thought in the first few months the weight was supposed to come off quick but I am not seeing that and it is depressing for sure. Glad to see others have had the same experience. I was told not to worry about calories but i am OCD and i track everything in a spread sheet I am eating an average of 450 cal a day and I feel like how can i not be losing weight!
  2. I have PCOS as well my periods were so bad I couldn't even leave my house for 2 weeks at a time for fear i would just gush. My doctor gave me the Mirena IUD and put me on Norethin and my periods stopped all together it was amazing. 2 days after my surgery i started my period and was like what is happening worst time ever but my body just went through stress so. but I have been getting periods now just light spotting but this surgery has changed my hormones for sure its crazy.
  3. I am having issues with food as well. Everything tastes so awful like the first bite is great then the rest just makes me gag. even foods I was so excited to start or foods i loved before. It's so hard and I get that awful taste in my mouth which i feel like is some of the cause of the food issues. It makes eating so hard I have to be so creative with food and have to have some type of sauce with it.
  4. Hi all I am new here I am 44 y female. I had my gastric bypass on 6/11/2025 and started my 1000 calorie liver shrink 5/25. starting weight was 301 lost 17 pounds in the 2 week diet and weighed 284 the day of surgery. I am now 6 weeks out tomorrow and I feel like I am just not losing weight like I should be. I lost 4.8 lbs 1 week out 11.2 2nd week 2.2 3rd week 5 lbs , 3 lbs and then 1.8 lbs last week total of 28.2lbs since the surgery. My worry is the last 4 weeks have been so low in weight loss idk what I could be doing wrong. I am obsessive when it comes to tracking food and calories I have spread sheets lol. I average about 450 calories a day 10 g fat 17 carbs 9 sugar and 60 protein. how can the weight not be melting off? Should I worry?
  5. the pain will go away i had severe side pain on my left side like when you drink a lot of water and then go on a run that stitch pain. but at 5 weeks mine was gone completely.
  6. My surgery was 6/11 had the gastric bypass. I feel so blessed I have not had really any complications. I am down 28.2 pounds since surgery but I am very frustrated with the weight loss. I seem to be stalled and just not moving at all. only losing 1-5 pounds a week the last 4 weeks. thought the weight was supposed to come off quickly in this first few months.
