@FifiLux I did it! Omg recovery has been tough. They said it was a difficult surgery, took longer than anticipated but he said they look great and I’ll be happy with the results. I have drains and I’m just really sore. Like I did a tough workout. But the hubby had to change out the bandages and he said they look amazing and they look like 20yr old never had kids boobies lol

Sounds like everyone will be happy with the results, most importantly you.

Glad you are ok and hope the recovery gets easier.

Yes! It’s getting easier as the days go by! Friday I’ll be drain free and only needing 1 bra. The one they ordered was slightly too big so they wrapped me too. But can’t wait to see Friday!

How is the healing going?! Have you shopped for some fun new bras? How's the husband liking them?

@Mspretty86 The healing is going great! They look fantastic, I am definitely a full DD which is what I wanted. I still have scabs on my under boobs where they placed the implant, I still wake up swollen but it goes away in like 5min of getting up which is great. I still cannot work out which sucks but hopefully today when I go see him he clears me at least start walking or something.

No new bras yet :( I am still in my post op bra for 8 weeks minimum he said. I have shopped for lingerie and actually wore some for the misters bday and man oh man was that fun LOL He is very much liking them however he's more looking than touching HAHA! He's nervous that he will mess something up, but he's been amazing this entire experience.

@Mspretty86 well still not working out, needed to go down to a Medium with my post-op bra, and he took out all the stitches and glue. No more steri-strips. They look so pretty, I have young, perky, non-breastfeeding boobies LOL

When is your appt?

Well, I went for my consultation on January 2 and I'm shooting for surgery in May. We shall see I will keep you posted. I forgot how long is it until you can work out again? I don't know how I'm going to do that not working out working out has become a part of me. I love doing it is good for my mental health.

@Mspretty86 did they tell you if it will be a breast aug or will you need a lift too? well I am 23days out and I am not cleared however I think my case is a little more involved. Because I had to have an internal bra he did not want me to work out due to making me swell too much. He said that I have such little breast tissue we are relying on that internal bra to drop them down where they are supposed to go- if I didn't have it I would have implants in my armpits lol I cannot lie, I am slowly dying without it LOL but I love the way they look so its a necessary evil (if that is even the right way to put it) Everywhere online for normal breast aug and lifts said easy walking by week 2. Hard workouts 6 weeks to 8 weeks. So I really just think it depends.

I probably will be cleared to do cardio and lower body before I can do upper body.

OK, good to know. Yes, I'm liking the internal bra technique. It's making people's breast look very perky and a lot of women don't even need bras with the internal bra. No unfortunately these babies need to be lifted with a breast augmentation so a double whammy for me.

you will loveeeeee them once you get them done! even thought I am mentally struggling with not being able to work out- my boobies are worth it lol The internal bra has been amazing, the first week I was so swollen and in such pain but I am much much better now.

So question do the implants settle to look smaller? I am so up in the air about the size they're saying you know when they put it under the muscle it will look smaller so I might wanna go bigger. I can pull my hair out. I'm gonna be livid as **** if it looks like I didn't even get anything done.

@Mspretty86 so when you first get them they are HUGE, high up your chest, tight because they are so swollen. So yea once they settle they appear smaller because the swelling is gone. When I tried the sizes with the silicon inserts during my "pick the size" appt its a pretty close visual of what I have now. I knew I wanted a DD because of my build and height. If I would've gotten smaller then it wouldn't have looked like I had anything done. I had skin sacs and I am super happy with what I have, they look great in tops, my waist looks smaller, and overall a good decision on the size.

@AmberFL okay thanks... people were saying different things they were like oh the silicone inserts were not like the real size they actually are now after swelling subsided...but your saying yours was pretty close match, so that's good and I'm glad you got what you wanted! did you do high profile or moderate? I know for sure I'm going with the moderate PLUS. I've been walking around doing the rice test at home. 😂 so my plan is to put in the silicone inserts and just see what I like and go from there. It will be what it's gonna be.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
