I bought it so excited. Heated it up immediately when I got home, strained the bits out of it, poured into my little Portion Control bowl and ate a few bites slowly so ready for it to be amazing. I then handed it off to my husband and told him I will not be eating it.
The Tomato and Red pepper Soup I shared somewhere has been amazing though. I think its my new favorite.
I get all my Protein in my 3 shakes so I am okayed for a small bowl of non- protein soup daily.

Just found you all 😁 I had my sleeve surgery on the 14th. Today is my first full day at home. Still very tired and I'm a lot of pain. I thought I was ready food wise but struggling getting enough food and Water in, I'm just not hungry and terrified I'm going to do something wrong and ruin this. I slipped and slow fell on my butt from my bed last night but the only thing that was hurt was my pride and my tailbone. I am getting my walking in ...5 min about every other hour.

My preop diet doesn't start until Sunday. Soft foods then and Monday afternoon only broth. How about you?
I have two weeks of 3-4 shakes a day, and lean chicken/tuna and veggies for dinner, have other options but that has been working for me. Monday I will do Clear Liquids mainly to be prepared.

14 days po!

my infection is clearing up (still red around incision but no discharge shine monday) and I am finally slowly loosing the Water weight from the er visit and seeing progress!

11/3 sw 351.4

11/17 cw 338

(for reference, 11/13 when i got home from er i was 352! and january 2022 i was 440)

still working on liquids but close to the 64 oz … tolerating most full liquids fine but starting to get heaviness with dairy so dialing back a little there… no desire to eat or drink so i am just sipping trying to get my ounces … changing back to water from sf beverages in case that’s what’s influencing my lack of thirst (had thought flavor would be a good thing)

Friday my diet changes from full liquids to purée! will have some refried Beans and sweet potatoes this weekend sometime :)

Day 14th of preop starting today. I have been feeling hungry the last 2 days at night, could be that I decreased my veggie portion without notice or my cycle messing with hormones. But no cheating allowed. Tomorrow I'm supposed to eat light and hydrate, so I will have scrambled eggs and keep the rest of the day with liquids only and after 8, clear liquids.

10 days until surgery! Gastric sleeve. Been on pre-op diet for four days now. Excited, and anxious. Mostly excited about the long term outcome. Finally taking control .... wish I had done this years ago!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
