Hunger crushed and taste change

Recommended Posts

100 percent on the restless feeling, I open the fridge, sigh and close it. I look in the pantry, sigh and close it. I am not depriving myself, just don't know what to do. Restless.

Also- I decide on something, fix it, sit down with it, and go "Meh..."

I still do that all the time too but thank goodness, I just close the door. I think I still do that because for years, I would graze all day. Eat all day and ended up over 300 lbs. Not by eating a lot at one sitting but grazing on Snacks. I guess I am still like the crazed, restless addict that wants to peek in the fridge or pantry. But it is a relief that I close the fridge or pantry door 99.999% of the time.

My hunger came back gradually at around 7 months I think. It's pretty hard to ignore now but usually a small portion of Protein will sort it fairly quickly. I love deli meats but bought ones are so salty - I roast chicken and keep it in a tub in the fridge almost all the time. A couple of pieces of that and my stomach shuts up again!

As the others have said, enjoy this phase - it does feel strange but it's when I lost weight most quickly and I do wish it had lasted just a little longer. Sigh.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
