Has anyone found a good popcorn? Before surgery and a few times since I've had Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn for a snack but I was looking for something different

You can make very healthy popcorn with an air popper. They're pretty cheap, and popping corn kernals are very cheap. Then you get to decide if you want to add butter and salt and how much.

They make containers that you can put in the microwave now that make popcorn from kernels too. They sell them everywhere such as Walmart and Amazon. Just be careful because popcorn is a slider food for many of us.

Just had my first handful of popcorn (microwave popped). The popper itself makes so much that I'm glad I had my daughter to eat most of it but boy was it good. That and pizza are my two favorite things to eat. Haven't had the pizza yet tho.

I just bought the mini bags of ORVILLE REDENBACKER MOVIE THEATER BUTTER popcorn at Wal Mart. It is the perfect sized serving. I have an addiction to microwave popcorn. I just cannot give it up. I’ve tried. I know it’s not good for me, but I am trying to learn what my eating disorder therapist told me “all food is acceptable in moderation.” I also buy SKINNY POP at costco. Much healthier for me, but not as good.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
