Hi

i had my surgery at about 11:45 and was back in the ward at 3. Have had to sit up all afternoon to help with the wind. I’m hoping to get in to bed in a bit just for a change of scenery! The pain it bearable but uncomfortable and I have dry heaved a few times but finger crossed no sick yet.

I managed a glass of Water so far but I am on a drip and and antibiotics so not pushing it. I have been on 3 walks up and down that corridor and am managing to pee ok.

keeping fingers crossed for an ok night

So glad to hear you are doing well so far. Just keep on walking and sipping. Your new job for the next couple of days.

Hi, congrats on your surgery! This is kind of a random question, but did you have any visitors with you? Were they allowed in the room with you after? How did that work?

Hi. No I wasn’t allowed any visitors at all. My husband just had to drop me off and pick me up outside the main door. To be honest I would have been too out of it the first day for visitors and the next day I was concentrating on waking and sipping and then went home that evening so it wasn’t the end of the world. The staff were amazing and couldn’t have been more supportive as well xx

I’m sorry you couldn’t have visitors my husband stayed in the hospital in my room the entire 3 days I was in. Sleeved 12/2021. I’m glad he did I threw up all night and was glad he was there to help me and get the nurses for me it was scary

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
