Bariatric multivitamin for Canada?

Recommended Posts

Hello, so I was set on wanting to use Bariatricpal once a day Multivitamin but cost of shipping is more than the cost of 3 months of supply.

So I am back on square one and not sure which brand to go with.

Anyone from Canada? Which brand of supplements did you use, easily accessible for Canada, specifically Ontario?

I've always used drugstore Vitamins (the better brands, like Centrum). You have to take two of them to meet the requirements. Here are the Vitamin (and dosage) recommendations of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons (you have to scroll down to see them).

I have been on the Jamieson Prenatal with DHA. I was told at my last appointment I could switch to Centrum Forte (2 a day)...but I had bought a bunch of the Jamieson, so I will finish that first.

Also, I believe Jamieson is Canadian, and the prices are pretty good. You can order online...though I haven't had any issues getting them at the Drugstore or Grocery Store.

I take ProCare Health multivitamin with 45mg Iron. Not sure of the shipping cost to Canada though. The number on the back of the bottle is 877 822 5808. ProCarenow.com.

Yeh Jamieson is easily available here. But I was looking to get 1 pill a day kinda routine. But most of them are available in the US that costs shipping as much as the price of the meds.

But I finally found a bariatric brand available on iherb Canada and decent pricing with free shipping.

It's called "Naturelo Bariatric multivitamin". It has all the requirements and my dietician is happy with it. So I'll be taking that for now until I get my blood work done. No other extra supplements needed. Even Calcium I get it from dairy consumption, so dietician will wait till the blood work to see if I need anything more.

Progressive's multi Vitamin chewable is easy to take and is good. I take two. . Find them at Popeyes supplements or healthy planet. The compleat Colligen is great also. I'm in Mississauga and these two have location close to eachother so pricing is competitive.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
