Isopure unflavored protein...who has tried this?

Recommended Posts

I am currently looking for Protein shakes/powders for my pre op liquid diet as well as for after. Most have a chalky feel/taste and some are super sweet. Has anyone tried the Isopure unflavored Protein Powder? If so, is it truly unflavored?

I haven't tried that particular one, but the unflavored ones I've tried do have a taste to them - they just don't have any flavor added. But they do have a slight taste. I can't taste it when I bake with them, but drinking them, yes.

What I hate about this product is that it clumps when mixing into liquid or moist foods

I'm hoping I like it because I found it at the grocery store today and bought some...Will post a review after I've tried it.

If you were allowed to have caffeine the premiere Protein café latte was the only one that wasn’t too sweet to me post surgery

Inuse the Isopure. I mix it with Premier Protein shake or fairlife Protein core elite. Together I get 60 protein in 4 meals. But thr strawberry.. yuck to sweet for me.i do vanilla or if I have to chocolate

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
