Help my mother with doesn't support me have weight loss surgery, she keeps saying it is the easy way out or if I lose weight I will just gain all back, she does not understand weight over 600 pounds is very hard for me to live life.

At the end of the day you have to do what's best for YOU! Family not always gone be around. If they can't understand or support you for doing what's best for yourself them F them.

Sorry you're dealing with that.

Do you live with her? Do you eat with her? Is she overweight?

I'm just wondering if maybe there's some codependency there or other relationship issues that are feeding into her not supporting you on a health journey. Is it just the surgery for her or the idea of you losing weight or the fear of changes? Does she not trust in your decision making? Have you made changes already or does she see a pattern of behavior that isn't changing?

Lots of questions, lol. Just trying to help you brainstorm to see where this is coming from. It's so difficult when you don't have support, especially from the people close to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
