WHERE ARE MY AUGUST 2021 PEEPS?

Recommended Posts

Just had vsg this morning.

Actually tougher than I thought. Never knew gas pains could be so intense.

Even ice chips cause some pain.

So pain is up and down, but more up.

Same here. I had mine yesterday and the gas feels trapped. I’m up walking. Trying to get enough fluids in but it’s difficult for me. We’ll get through this.

Congratulations!! That gas pain is so unexpected. It was for me too. Walk, Walk and Walk some more. It really helps. They also added some extra meds to help move the gas.by tomorrow it’ll be more bearable. Again, congrats

What type of pain meds does everyone use and how long does the pain last?

They told me 2nd and 3rd day are the worst. I’m on the third day. Yesterday definitely wasn’t as bad as the first day. It hurts like an hour before my scheduled pain killer, but other than that it is bearable. I do hope that tomorrow is easier. I finally started passing gas.

I’m taking tramadol and gabapentin every 6 hours. Both are pills I have to crush. I head liquid Percocet is more common, but my doctor said that is more likely to cause Constipation than the ones I got.

I’m going to try to keep up with this “August 2021 Peeps” thread. I find these messages helpful and it’s feels like all of us are going through this together.

Elizabeth: luckily I haven’t had too much trouble with the Protein Shakes. I’m just not sure how I am supposed to handle drinking all of it. I have trouble drinking more than 4oz and hour. For clear and lighter Protein I also have the clear Premier Protein. The peach flavor is okay. I didn’t like the fruit punch one because it taste like grapefruit. I bout the sampler of Premier Protein so I have some options.

Shelly, so about a week on pain meds?

I was hoping just a few days, but that makes sense. I read somewhere it is 2-3 weeks for incisions to heal and 6-8 weeks for the staple line to heal.

I gave myself two weeks of recovery and plan to go back to work after that. I have a desk job and work from home so I am hoping it won’t be too tough.

I’m really on top of liquids, Proteins, and walks. I think that will help. Taking about 4oz and hour.

Feeling okay after morning pain meds.

My doctor told me that there is a decent chance I could go back to work in a week. Some people have actually gone to work in a couple days based on their pain level. I plan to take just the week and go back to work at my desk job.

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
