Back after having a baby!!!

Recommended Posts

Congratulations, Brandi! You are doing the bandster community a big service by posting your story. I know many women are wondering if, or how, they can combine banding and pregnancy. Your son is adorable!

No, I didn't have any morning sickness with either of my pregnancies....I'm one of the lucky ones:) And no, I'm not breastfeeding. I tried to with my first and my milk never came in. I became so frusterated after 2 weeks when it still wasn't in that I gave up. So this time I decided not to even try. And thankfully I didn't because I never got any milk in this time either.

I posted a thread about my banded friend having a baby too. She never had morning sickness either and breast fed for a few weeks but like you, her milk doesn't come in very well and she recently gave up. She never gained during pregnance and lost something like 18 lbs after giving birth. I met her the other day and it looks like her port might have a bit of an infection. It was REALLY pushed out when she was far along in her pregnancy and then she had a C-section so we think this recent inflamation must be due to all the stress in the area. She is going in to have it checked out. Hopefully the sooner the better. It looked fine immediately after birth but it definitely looked a little pink and tender the other day and she says it feels very different. Anyway glad to hear you experience was so good brandi. Krystal-

Right now I'm teetering between 192 lbs and 195 lbs. Since my insurance doesn't cover fills, I'm trying to save up to get one. I'm definately not at my sweet spot! But I'm within 20-25 pounds of my goal weight which feels SOOOO good to say! I've been really lazy and haven't been walking like I should or eating like I should. I have to admit, I'm a carb-addict!!! So hopefully soon I'll be able to get that fill and get back on track! The baby is doing wonderful! He rolled over a few weeks ago and now he's trying to crawl. He's growing way too fast!!!!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
