Thanks for the headache tips- I already know I will need it :) I am glad to hear it gets better after the rough few intial days. I am sure my excitement will help me power through too. I have started replacing 1 meal a day with a Protein Shake and lowing calorie intake a little more each day so it is not a complete shock. Good luck on your journey, hope. you are feeling well!

I did the same thing before my surgery was scheduled I replaced 1 meal with the Protein Drink and it did help me. I also agree that the first 3-4 days are the hardest but it does get easier. I have my pre op appointment today! Its getting so real! Good luck with your journey.

What helped me to get ready was I started using a smaller plate, and I used the half plate of veggies, 1/4 Protein and 1/4 carbs method. I made myself cut down to 1 serving of whatever it was - not going back for 2nd and 3rds. I think it really made a difference once I had surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
