I know this isn't a nice topic but backfat is my problem. I knew I would have extra skin in my tummy, but my back is aweful. I look good from the front so far. Yet my back seems to not be loosing the fat the way the rest of my body is.... I think this is really ugly. I wish I had an idea about what to do about it. I have lost 65lbs and @195 so I want to lose at least another 40-50lbs. I am wondering if that will get better when I lose the rest of my weight? Is there a way to tone your back?

Pushups, on your toes. They will not only work your back, but your shoulders, arms, and abs. I noticed a bid difference once my trainer made me do them on my toes. I'm up to 26 in a row, but she wants me to work up to 50 in a row. We'll see about that.....

Actually, its funny that you say that its the last place that you're losing because it was the first place that I lost. My back has become completely flat but I have huge issues with the front! Maybe I should do some crunches!!!

You might try one of those exercise belts that you wrap around your middle when you work out. I think it is made out of neoprene. It makes you sweat but it also holds everything tight. I had one I bought at Walmart a while back and I noticed it helped a little with my back fat, that was prebanding days so I haven't tried it now. My trainer advised me to get it and it did help a little, I got pregnant shortly there after so I didn't really get to work out intensly so I don't know the extent of how much it would have helped. It may help it may not but it is worth a try. I think I bought my at walmart for about $6.

I'm between 195 and 210 right now. When the scale is closer to 210, my backfat is worse. I think if I can stablize 195 and lose another 10 or 15 lbs, I'll be much happier with that area. Of course, My goal is 140, and when I get there, I imagine it'll look even better.

back fat is one small reason we are all here...back fat, front fat, side fat and just plain old fat...lol

I have awful backfat. Exercises like deadlifts help a lot. Also core work like pilates can help the core (front and back).

At the gym there are also machines that are specific for the back. These can help the muscle become more tone so the skin is not hanging or looking bad.

I noticed when I was quickly losing right off the bat, my back fat was going away quicker than my belly. Now they both are fighting to not move.. but from observation it looks like my back is quicker than belly. But then my belly was a lot bigger, so I store most of my fat in front, and I was just so big it had to migrate to the back hah hah.

I do have the 2nd set of boobs under my armpits too. I worry about that when I decide to wear tank tops next year :x

Get thee to a gym and put some weights in your hands.

Anything with your core, over head, pec flyes, push ups, pull ups, rows, lats will all work your back as well as the other pieces of your body.

Cardio is great for weight loss but strength training will change the shape of your body under your fat and when your fat melts off or when your skin gets surgecally removed, you'll have that super star shape.

If you are already working out, get someone who knows what they're talking about to up your routine.

My back fat as gotten ALOT better. The rolls I once had are almost completely gone. However, I, like so many here have the dreaded side boob fat. A good bra with a wide band holds it all in, but man I wish it would go away. I don't know if there are any exercises that would help this area, anybody else know?

Also for the backfat, walking and the arc trainer with a twisting motion has helped the waist and back fat for me.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
