Just had surgery

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I’m Emily, and this is my very first post on this forum. My mom introduced the site to me last month after she had her gastric sleeve, and I just recently had mine; 2 days ago to be exact. I’m still in a massive amount of shock that I actually did this for myself. I’m adjusting pretty well, and thankfully I haven’t had Protein Shakes taste too funky yet.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I hope all of you have a wonderful day! :)

Hi Emily my sleeve surgery was on 2/23 so not too much ahead of you. I have to say I am still pretty sore, but also still happy with my choice. The first day I came home from the hospital, I had the frothys and could not keep anything down. Each day since has gotten better. Today is day four and I am up to two Premier Protein shakes and a Protein Water sipped very very slowly. Tylenol extra strength and an ice pack on my belly are also sanity savers. I hope you are doing well too.

I’m definitely sore, too. I had some trapped air so it’s been a bit of challenge to get comfortable, but overall I can’t complain. I can’t believe I did it, but I think it’ll be the best decision of my life. I’m happy with the choice I made, too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
