Has anyone been able to get Travel health insurance to get surgery abroad?

Hi!

I'm from Canada and I'm thinking of travelling to the states for self pay gastric surgery. We are worried however, that if anything went wrong, I could be left with HUGE medical bills for emergency services in the US. Has anyone been able to get Travel health insurance to cover this?
