ChubRub's Plastic Surgery Thread

  • Popular Post

I've enjoyed reading everyone's plastic surgery threads, and since I'm 3 weeks out from surgery, I thought I would start my own! I'm going to make up for all of the WLS mistakes I made (not taking "before" photos or measurements), and plan to track my PS progress much better!!

So here's where I am to date! I originally planned on having a CTT (circumferential tummy tuck, also known as a lower body lift) along with a BR/BL/BA (breast reduction, lift, and then adding implants back in for fullness). Plans have changed slightly since then, and I've also changed surgeons. The original surgeon I was going to does great work, but the surgery center he works for is very unorganized. I was initially willing to put up with the chaos to get that particular surgeon, but there was story after story of women getting their surgeries canceled at the last minute, and it was adding too much stress to what I want to be a really fun and exciting process.

The new surgeon suggested a different approach, and I really like her thoughts on it. Instead of a CTT she wants to address only the front of me (tummy and breasts) so that she can remove more skin from my tummy and leave me in that post tummy tuck hunched over position. With the CTT she wouldn't be able to take as much off the front b/c of the posterior incision. So my goal for round 1 is to look great from the front! LOL!! I really like how she explained it, and am excited!

Also I'm now down to a 34D, and the lift itself will reduce a little bit, so now I'm just a BL/BA (no more BR).

I've completed my pre-op testing (mammogram, chest xray, EKG, bloodwork), and will head down to Florida next week. I covid test upon arrival then report to the office on 1/6 for my pre-op visit. Surgery is on 1/12, and she wants me to stay in town for at least 4 weeks, but better yet would be 6 weeks after surgery.

Since I'm working from home due to Covid anyway, and have a place to stay in Florida, I'm 100% on board with the stay requirements! Something good to come out of Covid!! LOL!!!

So that's where I am for now, and look forward to updating with my progress as the weeks go by!!

I will be 3wpo tomorrow! Just got back from another post op visit and I am officially drain free! Woo hoo! Boob tape was also removed.

I’ll use antibiotic ointment for another week and see the surgeon again next week at which time I’ll likely we switched over to silicon tape.

In honor of being drain free, I also switched over to my faja! Currently wearing an ab board with it. Not sure if I like the ab board or not but will keep it in for now!

Getting more and more used to the faja. Have it on the 2nd row of hooks.

It looks silly, but I decided to leave the crotch flap open and just wear a pair of panties over the faja. It’s more comfortable and feels more sanitary. Added bonus is that the faja gives me a tiny booty!

Thanks!! Trying not to spend my day naked in front of the mirror, but it's hard!! LOL!!!!!! I'm sure you have the same problem!! HA HA HA!!!

Hahahahaha Well since I don’t work from home I’m pretty my work would frown on me being naked all day lol
But yes I can’t believe that these perky boobs are MINE!! I love them!!

Super-excited for you!! Looking forward to hearing your experience, as I plan to get a sort-of mommy-makeover once I lose a sufficient amount of weight. I'm so far only about 36lbs in & would like to lose close to 100...Do you mind: How much weight did you lose before deciding to get the PS?

My pre WLS weight was 230, and I had my PS consult when I was around 165, but scheduled it for 7 months out so that I'd be at goal weight by the time I had surgery. I ended up switching plastic surgeons, but kept my original surgery date. I was 117 on the day of surgery.

You are off to a great start!! Best of luck to you!!

looking awesome! my Faja does not have a flap so I did wear my underwear over it but not as nicely matched as yours! I still feel when I swell especially when it gets humid, but also have issues separate from the surgeries. I ended up not using any silicone strips ... I just have no patience (or funds) for things like that ... I did use a natural ointment vs antibiotic with propolis, silver, tee trea oil blend. I use natural exfoliation scrub and lotion as just regular shower routine. but not anything special for scars for a while. my surgeon recommended kinetic tape but I did not try it. I do sleep with the Faja on. though I have taken a bit of a break here and there from it.
