Glad to hear you’re home and managing the pain. Hopefully it will subside soon.

I’m four days pre-op, and trying to prepare myself. I really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.

I know it seems hard right now, but this too shall pass.

Walk as much as you can... it really does help move the gas

Each day will totally get better. Im 6 days post op and feel really good. I felt great yesterday too. I think sense day 4 i have been sleeping on my sides and belly with no issue (lol a big highlight in my life..im not a back sleeper) i would def recommend just keeping up on ur Protein and water.. makes a huge difference i feel.. i skipped stuff sorta one day and i FELT IT..i had NO ENERGY and that sucked.. won't make that mistake again.

Yes sleeping in my bed made the recovery faster for sure. I’m 13 days post op and feeling great. I’m just about over with the liquid diet and starting purée tomorrow. I’ve been waking 1 1/2 a day for the last week and it’s really helped my with my energy. So far I am down 14 lbs since my surgery and I can’t wait to start the next stage of my journey. Hope you are doing well.

Hello
Congratulations on the surgery and best of luck in your journey. I had my gastric bypass in 2016. If you have questions do not hesitate to post. I hope to assist.

Its important that you take your pain meds, walk to keep the circulation throughout your body. Its ok not to go outdoors but at least walk around the house slowly.

Thank you! I’m 1 month out and feeling great. I did have a question. Wow 2016 that’s amazing! How do you feel? Any regrets? How do you know if your eating too much? I’m averaging about 700-1000 cals per day and although my weight loss is good I just don’t want to ruin what I worked to get. Any help would be great.

I feel great though i have not met my goal which was primarily my fault. I stalled by eating incorrectly snacking, not drinking Protein. But I have been disxoplined now. Im going to the gym, taking my Vitamins, drinking my Water, doing my shakes. I have no regrets at all. I underwent the first WLS in 2009 and it was the lapband. I loss the largest bulk of my weight from 2009 through 2015. Though i faced a plateau for one year due to an erosion of my stomach i gained some weight back but i still had no regrets. If i ever need to reconsider i would do it again

But this time around I realized that i need discipline so i put myselt on Intermittent fasting.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
