Hello,

I started my 2 week pre-op diet on Monday.. Weighed myself Sunday night, and was 283. By Tuesday I was down to 278. Yesterday I was 276 and today I'm back to 278.. how the heck did that happen?

I'm on two bariatric shakes plus one healthy meal a day. Usually 3oz chicken or steak with brocolli or green Beans. I drink a crazy amount of Water and I'm using Metamucil like the doctor asked..

What am I doing wrong?

This might be a silly question but why do you think you're doing something wrong? 1-3 lbs of variation between days is totally normal, based on how much Water you drank/got rid of, whether you pooped the day before, etc. Don't sweat it.

This is why I never weigh myself more often than weekly.

Constipation? Water retention? PMS? Most people's weight fluctuates by a couple of pounds - sometimes for no apparent reason. I have about a 3 lb range.

How is your weight loss now @vanessa.0419 ? Are you feeling better about your results?

I like to measure my results by how I feel and how my clothes fit more than numbers on a scale... but at my weight the scale needs to move too lol

P.S. I'm still pre-op I'm not sure how to get this darn thing on the left to change, I decided on RnY but haven't gotten it yet.

It's going pretty good now I talked to my doctor also and he said not to stress.. plus it was that time of the month so I'm sure it had alot to do

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
