Concussion/weigh gain/weight loss pills

Recommended Posts

So last March I fell skiing and got a nasty concussion. Finally after one year I am able to function again. After hospital stays and med adjustments I gained 40 ibs. I am finally back on track. I am back to walking 2-3 miles on days that it’s not raining and I don’t have a nasty Migraine. I cut out all the junk food and finally eating right. I usually eat 3 to 4 ounces of food and am full. I am 3 yrs out. I have a follow up with my dr via phone appointment tomorrow. Has anyone tried and succeeded on weight loss pills? I am thinking about mentioning it I just have no idea how to ask to try them. I am hoping it is going to curb the fake hunger. It’s all in my head bc if I try to eat more I get sick. I am hoping he will go for it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've taken Phentermine several times. Most notably, the last time I lost 80 lbs and gained 70 back before I decided to get WLS. You can't take them for more than a year, and when you stop, at least in my case, you get much more hungry than you did previously. They are also speed, so sleeping can be challenging. There are some newer ones out, but I don't know as much about them.

Hi. My Drs had me on Victoza before weight loss surgery. My experience was really good. I used it to completely stop ALL sweetened beverages and that was a big success. The victoza decreased my appetite and totally got rid of my sweet tooth. Then 6 months later I had gastric sleeve.
I lost 10 lbs on the Victoza. Before I started Victoza I was 260. I lost the 10lbs. Now I’m 9 weeks out from gastric sleeve and I was 197 this morning. So, 60 pounds total weight.

I do not have any information but it sounds like you’re beginning to make really good decisions frequently if I am hungry I drink a glass of Water and reas glad you’re healing from the concussions in 20 minutes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
