Any ideas on how to make hiccups stop?

Im 2 and a half weeks post op. I had hiccups for 40 mins this afternoon in the middle of eating some ricotta cheese. Finally got them to go away.

A few hours later and they are back again. Didnt drink or eat anything for an hour prior. I'm occupying as I type.

Some people get hiccups if they have eaten too much.

What i try for hiccups is take a breath, hold it and try to swallow two times, repeat. Sometimes it works, other times not so well

Nexium. At least 1 x 20mg but don’t be afraid to take 2 tablets. I always suffered terribly from hiccups. Would have sore stomach & chest muscles for days after an attack. Even would vomit sometimes. Tried everything, all the old wive’s tales & Nexium was the only thing that would help. Takes a little while to work but the relief was bliss.
As a preventative, eat slowly. I find that helps too.

Oh, I have a weird one for you... instead of burping I hiccup. Ever since my surgery. It's bizarre as hell and it's not like constant hiccups, but like one or two and done. So weird! I don't know why it happens! That was how the gas was released following surgery too! The kept asking me if I was burping or... you know, and I'd always say 'no, but I hiccup' and they kept saying 'oh, that's good then'. -_-"

If you're not taking an antacid or gas relief then I would try one or both to gid rid of the hiccups.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
