Best surgeon ever

Recommended Posts

Just saw where the surgeon who performed my lapband surgery will be in Texas soon. This man is truly a blessing from the Lord as ... well, look at my ticker. I'm a size 10 now going into an 8. No complications as the surgery was performed by a surgeon with the greatest skill.

Rewriting this post.... I changed my mind about the old one.

Anyone interested in Huacuz... I would suggest looking up his old employers. Molden (maybe Molding?) clinic and Betancourt. A search here and OH would be great. Start at around year 2005.

ALWAYS do your research!

According to Lizrbit I work for them all, even in the US.

However, I'm not the one starting threads to advertise a doctor. I don't pretend only my doc is good.

Funny how that works.

Wanna start on Huacuz? I think that would be fun. We could bring up lots of posts that tell the story. Want to go there?

Yes you do, and anyone that doesn't chose a dr you recomend is an idiot!

You think you know it all. I personnally wouldn't recomend this doctor either, but that's not the point. The point is research and choosing for yourself. Much of the research should be done OFF these boards, because of people like wasa. By the way, I personally wouldn't choose wasa’s dr either. Of course I didn't have that choice because I was banded in 2001 no one had ever even heard of Aceves then!

As far as I am concerned, in my opinion he IS the best surgeon I have ever had. Then again I have only had 3 C-sections, a tonsilectomy (as an adult, not as a child) and the lap band. My results are great and I have absolutely no complaints.

wasabubblebutt...you stupid paranoid buttnugget.

leave my name out of anything you post. I havent been online and i would like it if you stopped obsessing over me and what i think...and for the record, i dont give a damn who you work for or what you do, with as many posts as you put in here DAILY i cant imagine you would have TIME to actually work outside the house, or even inside the house.

Im off losing weight, because i got a lapband and it allows me to get out and actually live. You should try it. fresh air is lovely.

now... with that said....

Kiss my ample white bottom.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Personally, I like Wasa and find her posts to be very informative. I just found the namecalling that I remember from grade school to be hysterical!

Wow..people just shouldn't be allowed to advertise doctors here period. This is just ridiculous how out of control this is now. When I got banded none of this happened because there were so few doctors doing it they didn't have to advertise or try to lure people in. Now you have people doing this kind of stuff. Best surgeon ever? Now are you really sure about this? *rolls eyes*

I'm with ya Di, I think that everyone thinks that their own surgeon is the best surgeon ever. I love my surgeon, and would recommend her to anyone, but I'm not gonna come on here and become a billboard for her! The surgeon she is partners with is also very good. Do I think he's the best? No!

I totally agree . I for one never do that . If someone asks i tell them about my doc . Granted I do love him , but that's for ME.

here is the problem with saying " MY DOC IS THE BEST DOC EVER" , this is my opinion ... for one its advertising as you said, i dont think this is the place for it. this is a place for safe information to be given .

But more importantly for ME i could NEVER Live with myself if someone went ot my doc on MY RECOMMENDATION and something happened to them .

So i tell them , this is where i went ,here are some other options CHECK THEM ALL OUT ! I want it to be THEIR CHOICE I would not want ANYTHING Laid on me !. I will tell anyone how much i enjoy , trust me doc ect.. but I try to not " recommend " him , suggest yes ..

If that makese sense.

Mindy

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket. I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to. And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
