I have been eating a berry Nut Mix (Hit the Trail H-E-B brand) it has walnuts, almonds, raisins and dried cranberries. I figured this was a good snack to have w protien from the nuts and the dried fruit being better than candy- so not good?

I think dried fruit has tons of sugar in it. It would keep my sweet toothe alive and kickin. But everyone is so very different. If it works for you, you're losing, you're satisfied, and it doesn't make you dump? Go for it! :D

I've always liked the idea of these, but have yet to find a brand that isn't too sweet or too bland.
What brand do you have?
They dont taste too sweet to me but I like things sweet20200113_165452.jpeg 20200113_165441.jpeg

Well that’s the thing. I could do with out the dried fruit really but it does quench that sweet salty fix that I love (chocolate covered pretzels-ish) but if I did just the nut would those be a bad idea? I hear they are good for protien but then I also heard in another post to stay away from nuts.

I’ve started drinking a cup of cinnamon flavored coffee in the evening to try and quench that sweet tooth snacking urge while watching tv. Love love love it

Get the raw flakes. Pimp em out. Then toast em. :) You have your own unique flavor!! :D

Well, duh. Why didn't I think of that?

That is an excellent idea.

You can do sea salt, Asian (yum) and so much more. :) Savory/salty and sweet versions. But it can be addictive. But it's a great source of fat and Fiber and cals that won't cause dumping!! Sounds like exactly what you need, especially if you make a trail mix with it and nut combos and maybe even Lily's Extra Dark SF Choco Chips! :) And you could also make homemade dehydrated apple slices (thin) and pear slices (thin). :)

Also, you can order dehydrated fruit and veggie chips that are fat free and are pretty low carb/no sugar added and crunchy. So those would be good to combine with it too.

LOL, i've recently discovered Jordan's Skinny Girl line of sugar-free flavoured syrups that I put in my coffee or tea or cup of almond milk #yummie.

I love doing the cinnamon in my coffee at night without the sweetener cuz the cinnamon cuts my appetite with the bitter coffee. And also, it lowers insulin. :) Score!

Dehydrated fruit...how is that diff from dried fruit? I’m curious bc I’ve heard that dried fruit is full of sugar.

Those are some good looking weight loss phase numbers, LOL.

How did you feel? Re-doable?

Also...172.4 lbs, that's a new low, yes??

It's the amount of added sugar. Dried fruit is rubbery. In order to get it that way, they imbibe it in a simple Syrup.

Dehydrated is purely the sugar in the fruit or veggies and it's pretty low carb respectively.

This is "Dried Blueberries". For a serving it's 1/4cup or 40g by weight. It has 140cals, 33 net carbs.

These are freeze dried blueberries. For a serving it's 1 cup or 28g by weight. It has 110 cals; 23g net carbs.

It doesn't seem like there's that big of a difference. But you are more likely to eat MORE than 1/4c of dried blueberries in your trail mix.

And you are more likely to eat less than 1 cup of freeze dried blueberries in your trail mix.

Do you see the difference now? (And one is crunchy, the other is chewy.)

Wow. I didn’t know. I will look for some dehydrated fruit in my grocery store. Maybe I can make my own trail mix w dehydrated fruit instead of dried.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
