The general pain subsided around a week or so after surgery. That said, I do still get a sharp pain above my main incision site every now and then when I do something it doesn't like. It does help to wear the binder when I am more active... but I don't wear it all day. What really bothers me is my achy back. Not sure if it started because of positioning on the surgical table... but it still bugs me. I know I am protecting my abdomen so that still plays a part in it. I only took pain medicine for the first 5-6 days. After that I once in a while take liquid tylenol. I did take 1 dose of the pain medicine last week on a trip. I have one dose left I am saving for next weekend when I will be very busy. Just a thought... my doc did prescribe a muscle relaxant and that did help me fall asleep. I can sleep on my back, my left side, or stomach... but if I sleep on my right side it positions my main incision funny and it might hurt. I am 23 days post op.

I was sleeved last October and only the first day I was in a little pain, I have a high tolerance for pain but still didn’t take any pain killers, not even at the hospital. My oxycodone bottle it’s still here untouched lol.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
