TGIF!!!!!!![emoji119][emoji119][emoji119] This was a helluva week!!!🥵

Day 24, 25 and 26
Hubby and I did date night last weekend. It was lovely!
I'm not on any social media other than Bariatric pal by choice! So nothing to unfollow. I definitely said no to writing a blog for work. I'm typically the go to person for the blogs but I was TRULY swamped this week so it was a "HECK NO"!! Moment when I was asked! No guilt too!!
Day 27: I'm using my phone as we speak so hard for it to be a phone free night. I may drop it when I'm done writing this[emoji2].....but then again, I'm on call tonight so no can't do.

Squats!! Was happy for rest day! From day 25 onwards, squats have been done in 2 events![emoji28]
I'll complete the rest of my 95 later tonight.

B side: My older sister is my absolute girl crush!! I 🧡 her!! She's admirable, courageous and FIERCE!!!

Did I say TGIF??? Yay!!

B-Side Question:

Even when you're super busy what do you always find time to do?

(For me, it's my hair😂)

28. Completed the 5K walk and was somewhere in the middle as far as placing went. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Then I went to yoga teacher training for the afternoon...and we went to the beach to practice! There were some squats in the practice but that's not what we called them. I didn't watch much tv or video yesterday but I did see a funny thing where someone dressed up as a bear and scared his co-worker when he came around the corner.

29. Sore butt and hips this morning. I'm going to the gym and then another afternoon of yoga and we're going back to the beach! So glad we're getting in this outside time on the weekend. Of course, it doesn't help me mow my lawn...oh well. No plan for squats today unless I'm doing leg presses or they are part of the yoga routines. Right now, I would say that the something good that happened is being outside a lot of the weekend.

B-side. Super busy...hmm, I would say reading before bed and, these days, gym/exercise somewhere in the day. Oh, and of course, some time with the fur babies! I like to make sure they know that they are loved every day and they let me know the same.

Day 29

100 squats done so far!! My thighs are burning but looks good!![emoji106]looking streamlined [emoji28]

Will complete 100 later on.

Write down something good: I was just writing in my journal that I am gaining confidence in my ability to live this lifestyle longterm and for me this is a BIG deal!!!

B side: I always find time to read!! No matter how busy! It's my way of decompressing after a long day! Even if for 10 minutes.

Off to completing my squats🥵

30. Well, to finish out the month...down 7 lbs in total....a hair's breadth away from onederland at 200.2. Grrr. I hope I wake up tomorrow and start the new month in onederland. My new thing is to practice mindfulness...goes with my yoga training...ooohhh, today I'm feeling muscles I'm not used to feeling! Like the front of my shins. The squats went out the window but I'm ok with that because it wasn't that I wasn't moving.

I guess that's it for the month....I really enjoyed it! Thanks for hosting GT! :) See you in the next challenge!

All in all, I'm feeling great about the conclusion of this month's challenge! I was so worth it!! Thanks @ Greentealeal and everyone that kept motivating me 🧡🧡

New habits: I'm back to the gym!!! That will become a habit!!

I've totally slacked on this challenge this month!

I have been walking a decent amount this month. Not as much as previous months because of travel and September is the hottest month where I live.

I did also meet my goal of staying under 130 ... barely! Weighed in this morning at 129.8 ...whew!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
