I’ve got a winner!!! (Calcium Citrate Chews)

Recommended Posts

I tried the GNC calcium citrate chews and they have an awful taste to them. I was dreading having to eat one of these 3 times a day. I tried a few others, and I had to hold my nose while choking them down.
I looked at some reviews online and saw some really good ones for Bariatric Advantage Calcium Citrate Chews. I ordered the assorted fruit flavors so I can see if there was any one I liked. In the bag is Orange, raspberry, strawberry & lemon. Got them in the mail super quick. Only 1-2 days. To my absolute delight, these are amazing! They taste like Starburst candy. I actually look forward to eating them!
They are $36 for a bag of 90 (one month supply) and worth every penny! They have many other flavors too...chocolate, caramel, etc.
This find was way too good not to share!
The weight management center at my hospital sells them in their office, so I can get them there for the same price minus the shipping.
If you come across them...grab some!!!

Thank you soooo much! I take the GNC calcium citrate too and I have to eat 1/2 at a time because I hate them. I'm going to order these right now 😁

I have tried both the GNC and Bariatric Advantage chews. Most people really DO love them but, for whatever reason, I can't stand either of them.

I just ended up going with calcium citrate pills instead. They have a few advantages I like, at least for me.

No taste(!), cheap, purchased about anywhere, and they don't melt in a hot car. (Ask me how I know this one... lol.)

I do like that there are so many options out there for different tastes, though. :)

These are my favorite too! I buy them from the Bariatric Pal Store for about $34 each, I participate in the forums and about every 3 months redeem my points for gift cards to use. And because I order 3 month supplies at a time, I always qualify for the free shipping!

I love the Celebrate 500mg calcium citrate Chews. Love all of the fruit flavors, but especially adore the watermelon. Like Starburst candy.

I love the caramel ones. It's the only flavor I order now!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
